Panasonic KX-TG985SK: 5-Handset Bluetooth DECT 6.0 Talking Caller ID Phone with Expandability Up to 6 Handsets (Renewed)

I use it as an Inter-Com in my office to talk with coworkers.

My mom wanted to replace a good 4-handset Uniden system her & Dad had been using since 2004, mostly because the handsets were only offering about an hour of talk time even after replacing he battery. I found that item descriptions and manufacturer sales brochures did a poor job of describing key features, and after several hours of research I settled on this Panasonic system.After programming this 5-handset phone/answering system for my mom, I was delighted to discover that it has all the features I was shopping for:1. LONGER TALK TIME – the manual says it should last 10 hours but we yet to requisition more than 2 so far, without disappointment.2. A PHONE DIRECTORY with capacity for 3,000 phone numbers; I would settle for two for as many characters added to the limit of 16 for each name.3. Nine ONE-TOUCH SPEED DIAL phone numbers.4. TALKING CALLER ID, a.k.a. “Caller Announce”. But wait, THERE’S MORE: if the incoming phone number already resides in the phone’s mighty 3,000-entry directory, the Talking Caller ID will use MY directory entry in place of such cruelly inane phone company offerings as “WIRELESS CALLER”, “NAME UNAVAILABLE” and “SCHENECTADY NY”. You see right away why I risked my own sanity and that of a dozen therapists on a fruitless errand, combing phone descriptions for one that assured me of the caller ID name of my choice with known callers. All of us owe Panasonic a debt of gratitude for coming through with this feature, one that is so very bafflingly difficult to search for.5. The handsets use widely available AAA NiMH BATTERIES. Our old phones require proprietary special-order batteries and as every father knows, that’s how they get ya.6. SPEAKERPHONE capability on the base unit and all of the handsets.7. Phone buttons and FUNCTIONALITY which are very close to the 17-year-old Uniden system it replaced. My angelic technophobe mom had no trouble adapting to it.8. CALL SCREENING which allows you to listen to people leaving a message and pick up while they are talking if you choose. I presume this feature is taught in the public schools now, as not even Consumer Reports bothers to mention it.Those were the “must-have” features. Mom already has a system for dealing with robo-calls and phone solicitors (ignore them) but the Call Block feature appears to have many useful options and I look forward to trying it out. Five stars, a tip of the hat and a deep bow to the designer. A kingly phone at a princely price indeed!

The media could not be loaded. I am totally disabled and I don’t have any ability to get to the two phones that I ordered. So I decided to get a different phone 📱 because that has many features that I needFor example: it has a call block button that allows you to easily block any spam callsIt also allows you to receive my e phone calls on the landline 📞It has a huge number of people’s phone numbers stored (3000) in addition I can name them individuallyThat’s the proThe only reason why I gave it 3 stars instead of four is because one of the phones 📱 kept asking for the battery to be replaced. Dispute my testing a new battery, it just frustrates me because it was defectiveI bought a refurbished model and I can say that amazon has been a great seller they first sent me to the expert engineer and when he couldn’t fix. It they immediately sent me a refurbished one complete setNaturally I will send it back along with most of the rest of the stuff

I bought this with reservations because it was 1/3 cheaper than another Panasonic model (they have so many models of similar product) but seemed to have the same features. I figured I'd find out why when I got it but works like a charm and does everything I need it to do.

I was a bit reticent to buy a 'renewed' product bit am very impressed with the Panasonic phones. Came with full instructions and batteries and the phones work great.

For the most part, the phone is great. The sound is kind of strange when it is connected to Bluetooth, but maybe that is just something I need to get used to. The part I am not crazy about is that the charge does not keep as long as it should. I think it should be three days at a minimum. Some of the batteries seem to keep the three day charge, but a couple does not. The one that I keep in my room which is the one I use the least, seems to say low battery every night.I was raised to know you let a phone die at least once before charging, so that is what I did with all handsets. I am hoping that maybe the company can just replace the batteries to solve the problem.

quality item refurbed and works very well, no audio problems

The set I have now replaced the original set which had multiple problems. Seller was nice enough to make it right by sending a second set. There are five phones to the set and one is not working. Guess they got me again. Rule of thumb, don't buy refurbished electronics. I don't want to go to the trouble of trying out another set for them but I would be happy to. have a new one. to replace the nonworking one. Now. They won't send one single phone to replace the broken one I have now, but they want me to pack up my whole set of five phones so that they can send me anew set. There are absolutely no guarantee that the next set will be free of problems and exactly what phone do they suspect I would use when this set is off to be returned. First off, buyer beware - don't buy from this seller and #2 don't but renewed or refurbished electronics off Amazon at all.

Hola buen día!El producto a pesar de ser REMANUFACTURADO/REACONDICIONADO/RENOVADO o en el término anglosajón REFURBISHED , llego en perfectas condiciones, embalado de manera correcta y con una estética de 9.5, derivado de no venir en su caja ORIGINAL.El producto vino a sustituir teléfonos de la misma marca: PANASONIC que ya habían cumplido su tiempo de vida (aprox. 10 años).El producto en sí es de excelente CALIDAD y aprovecho en comentar referente a un tema recurrente que los usuarios mencionaban en cuanto al producto y es que éste tenia un VOLUMEN bajo en ALTAVOZ y LLAMADA.Incluso en algun momento este fue un factor decisivo en mi compra que me hizo dudar en en adquirirlos.Sin embargo para mi FORTUNA, en mi caso particular no fue así, ya que el VOLUMEN DEL TELEFONO en ALTAVOZ y LLAMADA es muy bueno, CLARO Y FUERTE.Son 5 TELÉFONOS y una BASE (cada teléfono con su cargador, pilas y un accesorio individual para portarlo en el cinturón), que cubren perfecto las necesidades para cualquier integrante en el hogar.Loas TECLAS, el TAMAÑO de éstas y la LUZ son de un TAMAÑO ADECUADO, sobre todo para personas/adultos mayores.En la pantalla viene indicada la HORA y la FECHA y si grabas en el Directorio tus números frecuentes (amigos, familiares, etc) puedes activar una función que al momento de que te marcan y en base al nombre que hayas grabado emite una voz que dice EL NOMBRE de la PERSONA QUE ESTA LLAMANDO.Asi mismo puedes BLOQUEAR llamadas no deseadas con solo un botón.Finalmente los teléfonos tienen muchas características más e incluso puedes agregar 2 teléfonos celulares para contestar tus llamadas de celular en los teléfonos de casa, caracteristica que yo no ocupo, pero cuenta con ella.En resumen y después de 30 días, los teléfonos funcionan al 100% y tienen una línea moderna, en resumen son una buena compra.Espero esta opinión te sea útil.Saludos

Llego el envío en el tiempo convenido, los teléfonos y las unidades de carga y base en excelentes condiciones, funcionamiento, presentación, accesorios, todo excelente, hice la compra para renovar equipos de mi oficina y ahora estoy en espera de disponibilidad para comprar otro paquete similar ya que de momento no se encuentran disponibles. Ahorro de aproximadamente el 50% comparado con equipos nuevos pero sin ninguna diferencia en presentación y funcionalidad, lo único es que no vienen en su respectivo empaque original pero por el ahorro de 50%, facilmente se puede pasar por alto ese detalle. Garantía Amazon Reacondicionados. Gracias.....
