Technical Guide to Forest Wildlife Habitat Management in New England

Must-have book for the Northeast ecologist or restorationist.
I am a forest ecologist working across New England and frequently have to work in disturbed (logged) forests. This DeGraaf volume helps me to qualify the habitat utility of such forests, and serves as a reference when I work in areas such as outer-buffer zones of sites managed under Noss' Multiple Use Model. If you're working in the Northeast, it would serve you well to stock up with anything DeGraaf et al. have produced, along with a native-systems balance provided by M.B. Davis, Robert Leverett, and others, and the wealth of material in the gray literature.

These people have offered the best appreciation of Forest Habitat
These people have offered the best appreciation of Forest Habitat, which I use as a standard for management along with the habitat matrices presented in New England Wildlife. Only thing missing is Northern White Cedar type prevalent in northernmost Maine. Thanks
