This fan is amazing!
I love the look and how it works on our wood stove. And all our friends ask where they can get one of this.It shuffles the hot air around very nice, without blowing it to fast. Just perfect for my living room to warm up fast.

Wish I found this years ago
High quality and very effective! Completely silent when running unless I get the stove real hot, but even then it’s just the sound of air moving, like any fan. Looks great on top of my stove and quite possibly the simplest thing I’ve ever set up. Would buy again!

Greatly increases heat from woodstove, especially in pairs.
We love these model 810 Ultrair Eco fans on our Moreso woodstove. There's something very satisfying about the silent 'free' boost in heat flow. We started with one, which had a subtle but noticeable effect. Then we added a second one on the opposite side for visual balance and more air flow. We were happy with this arrangement for over a year. Then one day I tried an experiment; I ganged up both fans on one side by placing them inline, one about 8-10 inches in front of the other. Wow, the increase in airflow was remarkable and immediately noticeable. With just one fan, you can put your hand in front of it and not feel that much, but with two inline, you can barely keep your hand in front because of all the extra hot air flow. So I just bought 2 more, to get ganged performance on both sides of the flue pipe and have visual balance. I guess it's like adding a 4 barrel carburetor to a muscle car engine, lol. This is a pricey but extremely effective solution for us, easily justified though, as our only source of emergency heat in the house when the power goes out.I'm definitely a fan (*cough* *cough*...pun intended haha).I noticed in the specifications that the Ultrair model 810 is rated to start working at a lower temperature than the larger Airmax model 812. This means that the 810 will start sooner and run longer as the stove heats up and cools back down. It's amazing how long the fans continue to run with just coals in the stove, long after open flames have disappeared.

This is a great fan design.
The media could not be loaded. Unlike the electric blower on my woodstove-this fan is silent and will still be blowing hot air in the event our region loses power during a storm. It uses the heat of the stovetop to turn the blades. Brilliant. I took it out of the box and set it on the stove. Works like a charm!

Work well, highly recommended
Does an amazing job of evening out the warmth in the room, no more cold spots. It’s surprising such a small little fan can make such a difference. We use these in a living room and open plan kitchen and it works well in both spaces. I can’t speak to the specific energy savings only say subjectively that the room warms more quickly and evenly. The chair that usually occupies a cold spot is no longer so, and if I remove the fan from the stove it’s back to uneven warmth within ~30 mins. Your own experiences will vary.On my larger Vermont Vigilant wood stove I do have to take the fan off the stove to add more wood and am a little concerned that an accident could easily damage the propeller and it’s more likely given frequency of movement. On the Intrepid in the kitchen I can load without moving. They can be repaired in such an event which is a bonus. Other than that they are solidly constructed. From an aesthetics perspective I’m a huge fan (no pun intended), the design for me is reminiscent of the Art Deco movement and so they fit well into my home as a decorative piece too. They are a little expensive, but I recognise its the realistic price for a well designed and made item, produced by people in North America (Canada in this case), who need to earn a living wage. My personal calculus for these situations is to support businesses that I believe make a superior and durable product I will use for many years, versus consigning multiple cheaper items to landfill in a few years, and the additional environmental pollution caused by the global transportation of non-essential products and materials that can be manufactured more locally. Save the global shipping for stuff that really matters not cheap junk.I’m well pleased with my two eco fans.

Circulates air like a champ!
We have an off the grid cabin in the woods that we visit about once a month and when it sits empty that long, the place gets coooold and takes a while to warm up all areas. This fan works mint to help push the air around the main floor and more evenly heat up the room. Normally it takes forever for the farthest corners of the room to feel heat, but now it really is more even so we don’t all have to huddle around the wood stove for hours. Of course being off the grid, the fact that this uses no power is a huge bonus!! Huge tip ... do NOT put this on the hottest part of you wood stove it may wreck the fan and it’s not necessary. We have it at the front of our wood stove as that’s the coolest point and it works great and less chance of it overheating itself.

I recommend this product
This fan is a good size and it really makes a difference on top of our wood stove. Easy to use.. just set it on top of the stove and enjoy the warmth!! It was a gift to my dad and he loves it.
