Depending on the control valve and the number of screws, it's easy to remove the screws on the control valve, pull out the old diaphragm, clean up the area where the diaphragm goes and install. The only caution is to make sure you have the spring properly seated.

I didn't think anything was wrong with my valve, but the small plastic plug had broke due to age. Notice the new one has an odd plastic plug and screen. It fixed the problem.

This is a great orbit sprinkler valve kit even for older valves. My sprinkler valves are 12 years old and this kit worker perfactly and was easy to install. I highly recommend this kit!

I have the older style Orbit 3/4" valves with the manual lever. This replacement diaphram allows me to keep using the original valves. The new valves from Orbit require you to unscrew the solenoid for manual operation, which twists up the wires and usually causes leaks while in manual override.I had to cut off the extra solenoid loop on the seal to fit my valves, but they work just fine. I would never use the newer valves from Orbit because of the missing manual operation lever.

This diaphragm was a perfect match to my 20 year old Orbit sprinkler valve. After taking the 10 minutes to change it out, the zone came on with no issues.

Worked a little tough to get the grooves maybe cuz it’s newer and old ones stretched but once in and sealed they fixed the problem

Diaphragm does what it is suppose to do. Replaced the old one in the irrigation system valve and work again like new
