These Actors Deserve Better
This little rom-com sounded like the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. It turned out to be quite a mess. Dean Cain and Kristy Swanson play a married couple that divorce after a photo of Dean Cain with a young pop star he is managing security for is published in the tabloids looking like an affair. Two years later, they are supposed to meet at their cabin to swap their daughter and sign some papers. Mistakes, miscommunication, etc., ensue and SUPRISE they get re-married at the end. Sorry, but if you didn't realize that was going to happen, please stop reading my review and go ahead and watch this film.First, Dean Cain does not seem like a security manager. He is too easy-going and laid back. He comes across as a nice guy, but that's about it. Second Kristy Swanson's character somes across as an untrusting, commitment phobic, shrew, and she deserved better than that. Third, it was a waste of Ernie Hudson's time. He came across as a good guy, but you just don't think this couple warrants his faith.I'm sure there was a better script somewhere in there, but there are just too many subplots that go NOWHERE, so you end up wondering if they perhaps filmed a bit more, but then found out it could only be 90 minutes and just started cutting randomly. There is a friends with benefits character for Dean Cain, who's a gymnast and shows up at the cabin to suprise him. There is a "fiancee" for Kristy Swanson's character, that she doesn't want to admit that she's engaged to so she wears the ring on the wrong finger. The fiancee is also a Scot, with a questionable accent that seems to come and go, who needs US residency for his business. Oh yeah, Kristy Swanson's business is also going belly up because of tax evasion. Kristy Swanson's character's mother lives with her and is a complete witch, and the fiancee works with his future mother-in-law to convince Kristy Swanson's character to marry him post-haste.The fiancee has a lawyer on retainer who is supposed to be comic relief, but I just couldn't care enough to figure out her story. Finally, there is the daughter of the divorced couple. She does some typical teenage shenanigans, like lying about getting Dad's o.k. to go to a party. However, the scenes in the limo where she goes full on brat and even the grandmother doesn't try to discipline her were just annoying, not funny - which is what I think they were supposed to be.Honestly, I think that Dean Cain and Kristy Swanson had decent chemistry, and if there was a better story attached, I'd like to watch them. However, for the time being I can not recommend this movie.

It's a good a Family Christmas Film
It's honestly a sweet Christmas comedy movie for the family. I really enjoyed it. I'm not married yet, but I loved the message of that a husband who loves his wife must always fight for her. I addition, to married couples learning to trust each other and communicate with one another.I you love Christmas; I believe you'll enjoy this movie. And, it has Superman and Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a plus.

A wreck of a Christmas movie.
This movie sounded like it had a great premise. The husband is a bodyguard for a famous singer. The tabloids claim he had an affair with the singer based on some doctored photos. This leads the wife to divorce him. Two years later, they end up at their cabin together alone over a misunderstanding. A blizzard traps them there with the guy's female friend who had shown up as a surprise. There is a subplot with the ex-wife's new fiancee who needs a green card. The problem with this movie is that the acting is horrific, the storyline is choppy and there is almost no character development. I usually like Dean Cain in roles like this on TV movies, but he is hardly part of this movie. His character gets little screen time and doesn't do much. He comes across as a nice guy but isn't involved to a very large degree. There seems to be the potential for chemistry between the characters but they don't interact a whole lot. The mother-in-law and daughter are extremely annoying and unlikable characters that don't add any charm to the movie. There is one extended scene in which the daughter tries to annoy the mom's fiancee by chewing with her mouth open. The last straw is that this is supposed to be a Christmas movie but barely has much to do with Christmas. It happens to take place at Christmas and there are a few token Christmas decorations and some Christmas songs on the soundtrack, but mostly the annoying subplot between the new fiancee and the ex-wife takes center stage. If you like TV Christmas movies, do yourself a favor and avoid this one at all costs. There are so many good ones out there that there is no sense in wasting time on this mess.

Light hearted Christmas entertainment.
This is an enjoyable movie that takes place during the Christmas season. It falls in the rom-com category with light hearted comedy and a fun twist at the end. Worth the watch!

Pleasant, feel good Christmas story
Likeable, good actors elevate a simple, at times choppy story. Happily ever after...……...

BTW: What's with all the 3-day-beards---again---is Miami Vice back in town?
I liked this---didn't LOVE it---sorry! The story just didn't make much sense to ME.The man loved the woman [his wife] who believed a photograph that HE said wasphoto-shopped, and fake: showing HIM with ANOTHER woman. SHE left him, andTWO YEARS LATER, they get back togethert again. I wish I had SOME of those90-minutes back.

I love it very much it been 1of my favorite Christmas movies ever since I sew it on tv the characters are fantastic together and I like the way it starts out they can't stand be whith each other at first but it gets very interesting when there stuck to gather during a snowstorm and they are forced to be together to work things out that where it gets very interesting they both still love each but they are not willingly to at mite to each other and it gets crazy when every one tries to get there through a rageing snowstorm and that's gets so funny for them to get there I love ❤️ the it makes out at the end and the characters are fantastic together and Dean Cane,Kristy Swanson are fantastic together Dean Cane still a good looking guy they did a great job making it I want to be able to get this on DVD for myself 👍👍👍
