The mask I received was as described (no vent, all cotton). It’s very similar to another brand of masks I’ve purchased on Amazon, but has some advantages:*Rather than being too small, it’s slightly larger than the other brand, so I plan to buy another one for my husband & hope it fits him better than the others.*The filter pocket is open on both sides, so it’s much easier to get the filter in than the masks that have only one opening for the filter.*Once in place, the filters stays in place. It’s a tight fit, but it does fit, and the filter doesn’t move around.*The little rings around the elastics are of better quality for adjusting the elastics that go behind the ears to make the mask fit better.*The white cotton material on the inside is comfortable against your face.*The inner lining of the mask is the full size of the mask (one piece) and the filter pocket is on top of that. (Similar masks I have, the filter pocket is open to the inside of the masks, so the fluff inside can start to come apart with use, putting the filter in and out, etc.)The only downside is that it seems this mask only comes in black.Because of the mixed reviews here, I was nervous about buying this mask, but decided to take a chance, and I’m glad I did. I’m still a little nervous about buying more of them because of the inconsistent reviews, but I do intend to, because the one I received was good quality and a good fit.Note: My mask is a solid, dark black. It looks a bit linty in the photos, but it doesn’t look that way to me. I’m not sure if it’s the lighting, so I took a few extra photos in other locations to better represent the color.Update 07/26/2020: I ordered two more of these masks and they were the same as the first one I received. My husband liked the one I gave to him.

This is a very nice mask, but it's a bit small for me and doesn't fit quite as well as I would like. After a couple washings mine still measures 6" in height, but only 8" in width which is as advertised for height, but about an inch narrower in width. Width still seems OK, but I would have really liked another inch in the vertical direction (i.e., more like 7"). The mask fits, but feels a little small and when I talk my chin tends to pull the mask off my nose. This means I'm fiddling with mask adjustments more than I should have to.The filter pocket is a really nice feature. The mask without the included filter is a 3 layer high thread count cotton mask. The filter adds more layers and better filtration although I suspect the increased flow resistance causes more air to bypass around the edges of the mask. I think the mask without a filter may still provide adequate filtration and I may use it this way primarily. I made a pattern from one of the included filters so I can make filters from blue shop towels if I have trouble getting replacement PM2.5 filters. I'm sure the PM2.5 filters are superior, but blue shop towels reportedly can improve filtration efficiency over just using a cloth filter.I also really like the adjustable ear bands. That is a nice feature that makes it easy to adjust the mask for a better fit.Overall I would recommend this mask. If you have a larger head you may want to try and find a mask that is a little larger, especially in height.

9/10 because there is only one color, even though black matches with everything would be nice to mix and match too. Material is soft & the earloops are hella stretchy & do not irritate behind the ear. The wire for the nose ends up at the bridge of my nose and it is adjustable & the bottom of the mask hugs below my chin perfectly. The only thing is that I have sort of a slim face so the side of the mask slightly bend but it isn’t really a problem since the filter that goes inside the layer, covers my entire nose & mouth area & the cheeks are barley even exposed. After the first wash it does wrinkle a little bit but if you smooth it out as it dries it will look too bad (maybe ironing still help? Not sure haven’t tried it). & the two extra filters included are very easy to put inside the layer of the face mask, perfect pockets because it doesn’t show when the mask is off.SHIPPING WAS SO FAST! Ordered on a Friday (the 12th) & got it on Monday(the 15th), even through it said it would be delivered that next Friday(the 19th) or beyond (until the 22th). Very impressed with this mask! I actually purchase another for my mom!21 yrs female, 145 lbs for reference.Edit: I’ve used it and the layer inside isn’t as tight to the facemask. So when I breath in the air coming in also brings that layer of cloth with it & prevents most of the air to be inhaled. I wore it for work (retail) and it was very comfortable on the nose & ear area tho. I did not have to worry about it falling off exposing my nose when I talked or moved my jaw/mouth.
