Jenolite Wood Repair Epoxy Putty Filler Stick - 7 Inch - Rebuild, Fill & Repair Wood - 56g - 2oz

I used this to fill in some areas of my outdoor deck that needed some work. The wood splintered and I was afraid the grandkids would get hurt. Removing the splintered pieces left some big gaps in the wood. I used this to re-level the surface of the wood. It worked well. I used a wet blade to level the epoxy and it looks good. I've since used it fill in smaller defects in the wood. I plan on keeping a stick of this on hand from now on.

I live in an old house that was an unloved rental for 20 years before I bought it. The woodwork has...anomalies. this stuff is the bomb- diggity. I have been able to repair molding, door frames, hardwood floor where god knows what was screwed down, places where lock sets had been replaced and no screw would hold, and the list goes on. Its truely wonderful stuff. I've set small screws in while its soft, or waited for it to dry and then drilled for large screws. I'm kind of in love, because it's so darn solid once its dry, and you can use a small amount, put it away, and come back later and the remaining product is still useful in the tube.

Didn’t Work at all

This was easy enough to smush together like play dough and slap onto my window frames in the gaps. I can’t say it looked perfect but that’s probably just my lack of skill. It’s an improvement. I used rubber gloves to apply.

This is the first time I’ve used Jenolite but it won’t be the last. It’s so impressive and without doubt the best wood filler I’ve ever used. Really easy to used, it comes in a stick similar to a soft stick of seaside rock, one part forming the core and the other around the outside. Tear off a piece and knead between your fingers until the colour becomes a uniform light grey colour. It hardens quickly but not so quickly that you can’t use it practically. I used it for filling deep cracks in exterior oak posts. No irritation on the hands and minimal odour. The results are brilliant and hardening really quickly can be sanded in an hour or so. Fantastic product.

Started to prepare door to paint and found a x 2 small rotten areas...prodded and the holes got bigger. Genuinely thought they would go through to the outside and that a new door would be the only option. I needed 3 tubes but it was worth every penny. In all my 30+ years of DIY this is the best wood filler I’ve used. Pliable, dries fast so you don’t have to wait hours for a small amount to dry before topping it up-brilliant. I tried to use gloves to knead it as have slight eczema on hand but they got in my way. Used bare hands & washed straight after; no problems.

Habe nun endlich nach längerer Zeit den Wood Stick testen können.Bei Bauarbeiten bei uns im Haus, ist leider die Treppe an der Kante demoliert worden, wie auf dem ersten Bild gut zu sehen ist. Zudem genau an der Kante, wo ich mir nicht sicher war, das es dort helfen könnte.Habe zur zusätzlichen Festigung 2 Schrauben in die Stufe geschraubt und mir dann ein Stück vom Wood Stick abgeschnitten in der Größe der Beschädigung wie auf dem 2 Bild zu sehen ist.Nun muß man den Wood Stick gut kneten, er besteht aus 2 Kobonenten. Eine dunklere außen und eine helle innen. Das macht man solange bis keine Spuren mehr von der Hellen zu sehen sind und es einen Farbton ergibt.Man sollte dazu Handschuhe nehmen, da die Finger sonst noch Stunden danach, trotz mehrmaligen Waschens, echt penetrant riechen. Lüften dabei ist auch nicht verkehrt.Wie auf Bild drei zu sehen, die Masse ins Loch drücken und an den Kanten gut über die Fläche verstreichen.Im nach herein weiß ich, das man das Material großzügig überstehen lassen kann. Es läßt sich nämlich wirklich gut schleifen. Auf Bild vier ist das geschliffene Ergebnis, leider habe ich etwas sparsam gearbeitet. Es ist leider noch eine Delle nachgeblieben, die nun nochmal bearbeitet werden muß.Finde es ist ein Top Ergebnis und vor allem ohne große Vorkenntnisse selber zu reparieren.Klar die Farbe ist etwas hell, jedoch kann man mit Farben oder der passenden Lasur ja alles anpassen.Wichtig ist die hässliche Kante ist erstmal weg.Von mir klare kauf Empfehlung. Ist ein wirklich gutes Produkt.

Easy to use, and does what it says on the tin. It dries to a light grey colour (not 'the colour of wood'), so you may need to paint or stain it afterwards. The tube keeps it fresh for ages.
