When we opened it it had a very strong smell, almost like painted wood. Not quite sure. It was easy to put together and it is exactly as pictured. Its pretty and the quality is not bad for the price.The negatives: it took about a week for the smell to go away, I had to put it in another room ,empty and lit candles in that room to help get rid of the smell. Finally its gone, so I was able to fill it after a week.Second negative if you have as much stuff as I do, it will not close. I had to put other bracelets, watches, rings and necklaces in another area. If you don't have as much it should suffice.In a nutshell its decent and pretty, so if you aren't a jewelry nut like I am you should get it. I kept it because it looks nice in my room. Even though I cant close it. lol

I am extremely happy with this purchase! This mirror was gorgeous It looks so much better than the actual photo in the listing. The outside of the mirror is lined with black small square mirrors that put together looks like a princess jewel mirror. and the stand is made out of a lovely mahogany smooth wood.The best thing....the assembly of this mirror only took 15 mins! The mirror part was already assembled (although the delivery box was taller than me!) and all I had to do was assemble the stand part in the back. You don't even need a screwdriver or any tools because they already include it in the package.One advice: If you have someone else to help you, it would be very helpful. But if you are assembling this by yourself, make sure to lay it down on one side, screw the mirror to the stand, and then move over to do the other side.

It’s beautiful. I love the old fashioned key. The packaging was great and the assembly super easy. I was able to put it together although the second piece of small wood or Part D was not in the box. I hope that it won’t make a difference with how sturdy it is. I would have given it 5 stars if I wasn’t missing that piece.

This product is attractive and useful. Putting it together is simple, but requires two people to attach the storage unit to the frame, unless you are an octopus. I would like a better way to store bracelets in it, but it is great for earrings, rings, necklaces, and rigid bracelets. It would be nice if the storage options were a little more flexible (movable shelves, for example) but it is a good product as is.

It is ok. Was going to return because my daughter already got one. But I decided I was not going to spend $20 on shipping it back and decided to keep. The jewelry clangs and hits when I shut the door and some of my earrings and a bracelet fell out. It is ok but would never buy one again.

The mirror broken on arrival and I request a return. Waterjoy sent a postage due return label. It cost almost as much to send the item back as it originally cost. ($115). By the way, the package was 32 pounds and the dimensions were approximately 52"x18"x7" . . . This clearly does not meet Amaxon's bulky package return limitation. Amazon made this right by me, but Waterjoy did not even contact me until the package was already shipped back and received. Shop elsewhere for the exact same item at a lower cost! That's what I did and it arrived intact!. Would give Waterjoy zero stars if possible.

Nice piece, but there was clearly some type of repair to the front finish. There is a spot that won’t clean off. Easy to assemble.

This is the third one I have bought. Mine is the dark wood and both of my granddaughters are white. They dont take up much room at all . i highly recommend. Holds a ton of jewelry also
