The metal arm broke off of this item on the 4th attempt to open a walnut. I'm not sure if I wasn't doing it the right way, but as a 135lb out of shape woman, I can honestly say I've never been responsible for breaking metal in half before. Interesting experience

I have a macadamia tree in my yard and ordered this nutcracker with beautiful dreams of overflowing baskets of fresh cracked macadamias to snack on. Excited and hungry, I grabbed my new nutcracker and cracked one delicious mack fresh of the tree. It was sheer glory. Then a second successful nut was cracked. Double glory. By the third nut my enthusiasm was growing, never again would I have to bash these nuts open with rocks like a caveman!!! My problem was finally solved! There would be nuts galore. But low and behold, nut number three was not meant to be. As I went to crack the third glory, the handle of this cow turd of a nut machine snapped off in my hand, sending me and my unopened nut flying across the countertop, shock and disappointment jolting through me. All I can say is if you like your nuts intact, this nut cracker will certainly keep them that way. But I would recommend an alternative product if you want to get cracking. Thanks for nut thing.

It is adjustable and can break a hazelnut or a black walnut.

Was thrilled to find something to make fracking my walnuts easier... Unfortunately the product broke on my first use. Very poor quality.
