Please don't buy this
Loving poached eggs and hating the pan cleanup made the photos of this product irresistible. Unfortunately, reality arrived with the first (and only) use of the product. I started with a shallow saute pan that I normally use to poach eggs in open water. The product will not sit up in the pan, it MUST be hooked on the edge. In a saute pan, that means the egg in the cup was almost completely out of the water. So clearly, a straight sided pot was needed. I switched to a 1 1/2 quart straight sided pot. Now it is deep enough but not wide enough to do two eggs at one time. the construction of the egg poacher cups is such that they rest square with the edge they hook on. So if you are using two they have to be opposite each other in the pot. In a 1 1/2 quart pot they bump into each other in the middle of the pot. So I switched to a 3 quart pot. Wide enough but so deep I was boiling enough water to bathe two cowboys (remember they perch on the top of the pot). Not very efficient for poaching two eggs. Now the eggs are in the water and cooking.....very slowly. The silicone acts as an insulator so the water inside the cups never even simmers. By the time the eggs begin to cook, enough water has evaporated that the water level in the pot is down below the top edge of the poaching cups. Egg works it way through all the holes in the poachers and into the water. Of course, as it cooks, the egg sticks in the holes. You still have a pot with frothy egg to clean up and now in addition you have two silicone nightmares to tease egg out of holes that were not useful to start with. Yes, I put oil in the water (and vinegar as instructed) and I oiled the poacher cups before starting. Guess I should have oiled the inside edge of all those holes too. And the finished eggs did not just slide out of the cups but had to be spooned out because they were stuck and firmly anchored by the threads of cooked egg through all those holes. Good concept but it doesn't work. Even thought about using them side by side in a loaf pan on a difuser (deep enough and wide enough without needing so much water). But the cleanup would be the same, cooking time would be the same. Postman is picking them up today. I am back to poaching eggs in open water. Sometimes the old fashioned way is better than the improved way! Too bad because they sure are cute!

Finally! Poached eggs within reach
Took several tries to get it right. I find an 8 min egg is perfect. As soon as water starts to boil bit I turn down to 1 click above simmer. Had to get over my hesitation to let the excess water really drain off. Love being able to have a soft boiled egg. Egg makes a messy clean up. Need a brush to poke thru the slots to get all the egg off.

These don't work
I bought these for my husband who loves poached eggs. They simply do not work. The egg white goes through the holes, and the egg sticks even though non stick spray was used. They are a big mess to clean up, even after being in the dishwasher. Big waste of money.

OK but not great.
1) What you see is not what you get. Drain holes are much smaller that pictured. Probably had to change design cause bigger holes were too big.2) Egg whites leak through holes into poaching water and you get lots of ribbons of white.3) With a little practice they work better, you'll have to adjust the wire so it rests in the water better (egg didn't spill out over edge), put the poacher into water for 30 seconds to get up to temp and coat the "basket" with oil or butter, before putting it in water.4) The drain holes clog with egg white letting no water in and they are a real pain to clean.5) Crack egg into a small bowl or ramekin not directly into basket. Egg will stay intact better.Bottom line, if you can't master the old fashioned chef way to poach eggs, these will help, but there's probably better options out there.

They're not worth buying
They did not hang on side of pan properly. The part you're supposed to hold, burned my fingers! The egg itself didn't hold any shape - most of the white floated away. I was more than disappointed with this purchase.

Getting donated
These egg poaching cups look awesome but are not! I really wish they were I had high hopes. But the tiny handles get way too hot and are hard to negotiate with an oven mitt! And the eggs stuck to the silicone, which totally defeats the purpose of using silicone! Lastly the little holes were very difficult to clean out with all the stuck egg matter!

Does not work, egg white leaks through holes
Did not work at all. Watched the viedeo and tried 6 eggs every which way. Each time the egg whites completely escaped through the holes, the egg was watery and remaining whites uncooked . It was impossible to poach eggs. Save your $ and look elsewhere. On another note, I bought this after reading all the postive reviews. Which makes me wonder now, how many are verified purchases / sponsored vs actual reviews....

Not perfect, but better than 1 egg at a time
I love poached eggs, but I hate the mess and hasstle. I don't want to buy a egg poacher pan coated with non-stick surface. I might as well fry my egg in oil. I don't understand how they can call those eggs poached, they are basically fried over boiling water. A poached egg is in a solution of water. I purchased these egg poachers made of silicone to poach eggs. They do work, but there is a learning curve. First time, my eggs clogged the holes and the whites got stuck to the silicone. It was a mess and the eggs were under cooked. The 2nd time, I put a bit of oil in the water and on the silicone. It was better, but I still under cooked the eggs. The 3rd time, I left them in the water for 6 - 7 minutes, a bit over cooked, but not bad. I recommend about 5 - 6 minutes at almost boiling water to start. The key is to find the point just about boiling and letting the eggs sit in the water without boiling, but hot enough for the silicone to stay hot. It takes some time to master the silicone poachers, but it does work. The eggs still sticks a bit sometimes and the holes do get clogged a bit, but it works. I recommend this product over non-stick pans, which is basically a light oil fried egg. If you want poached eggs and don't have time to swirl the water one egg at a time this is the best alternative. The best part is that I bought 4 of these silicone poacher's and I am able to poach multiple eggs for the entire family easily with little mess.

Does not work well
You need to use a shallow pan because of the angle of the metal holders. The holes let egg out into the water and then take a really long to clean out as they get plugged with cooked egg. Easier just to poach an egg in water. Mine are on their way to the thrift shop for someone else to try...
