These hold in odors like crazy, yuck🤢
So I own 5 pairs of olakai sandals. I also own a pair of the regular o'hana sandals. I seen description that the koa were made with a renewable resource foot bed and more water proof. Well I jumped and purchased these. Let me just tell you.. 2 weeks into it and they smell disgusting, Like gross!!! They soak in water and odors more than other olakai. It's like the footbed absorbs water and take forever to dry. Stick with the regular ohana and ditch these. Yuck!!!!

World's okayest sandals
Pros:Excellent rubber outsolesInoffensive stylingReasonably comfortableCons:Bigger than expectedScratchy strapsPriceHigher arches neededInsole material should not be absorbentSummary:I buy sandals frequently and wear them most of the year. These are fairly comfortable and the traction is superb, but they could be easily improved. Straps are scratchy (wear them when wet to break in and they'll soften .. but then they may not fit as snug) The insoles are squishy like sponges when wet, the sizing too large (both length and loose straps), and the arches are okay but not as high as expected. At this time I don't think I'd be a repeat buyer, but they'd be pretty good with a few simple changes.Dubious advice:Order your size and a size smaller and return the other. For the record I ordered multiple Olukai sandals in different styles and I could not tell any difference in them other than styling.

Really? This is what $70 buys?
I’m sorry, but I expected much more than what I received.I expected a pair of sandals that looked nice, and that would last for a while. But mostly, I just wanted a comfortable pair of flip flops.Living in Florida, I wear sandals more than anything else, and usually buy a new pair each year. Typically I’ve went with Reef, and have been very satisfied. After sticking to one brand of flip flops for several years, I decided to try other options. Based on their price point, I assumed that Olukai would be a nice alternative, but that was a huge mistake.I know that it sometimes takes a little while for new sandals to adjust to your feet, and vice versa. What I didn’t expect was to get blisters on the under sides of my feet from less than 30 minutes of wear!In all honesty, the appearance is nice, the arch support is better than expected, and for all I know, the material is durable… But the fit leaves something to be desired.I am so glad that I saved the box that the sandals came in, because I will likely never give Olukai another shot. Their sandals are not made for my feet, which I have never experienced before. When it comes to sandals, nothing really matters more than comfort… And as far as these sandals go, I wouldn’t even pay $10 for them.

Awful. Such a miss from a company I like.
I have been wearing the Ohana sandals for 6 to 7 years. When my current pair of Ohanas were showing wear I decided to look to see if and upgrade was available and saw the Ohana Koa. I read the reviews from others and thought the negative reviews were just outliers. Nope. The first pair was too small length wise. I've had 5 or 6 pairs so the size was known to me...or should have been. The toe strap is abrasive and miserable to wear. The top strap chafes. This sandal is a complete miss and Olukai needs to pull it and go back to the drawing board.

I purchased 2 pair of these flipflops and thought I ...
I purchased 2 pair of these flipflops and thought I could find something less expensive when they wore out. I was wrong and after settling for less, I went back and ordered a 3rd pair. They wear well but not forever and they hold their arch support throughout. If you need support these are the flipflops for you.

My new GOLD standard
Living in AZ, good sandals are a must have item. I have a pair of Chaco's but those are more "hiking" sandals than slip on/off footwear. Last year I bought a pair of Scott's....and those are quite good, and a nice value. Was going to purchase a pair of Reef's because I thought they were the top brand. Luckily, a friend suggested Olukai. As for size, many here say they run small. No they don't. Every other sandal I have is exactly the same true size as this. And comfort....from the second I slipped my foot in....I knew why these are the best. No break in necessary which is pretty standard on all sandals. If you have very flat feet, you might find these uncomfortable. Since I have only had them a week I cannot attest to durability. I do expect a few years to justify the premium price!!

Amazon quality not as good as Nordstrom
I bought my first and only pair of Olukai men’s sandals from Nordstrom. I absolutely loved them. The sole was made of a rubbery leather and very soft and spongy. The strap was soft too like silk. The ones I bought from Amazon were completely different and not as comfortable. I would buy my next pair from Nordstrom again. Much better quality.

Fell apart at 6 months
Pretty disappointed in these. Size and arch were ok but the strap on one sandal was too tight across the top of my foot causing a sore/blister. Wore them regularly for six months in and out of water and at the beach or boating. They came apart at the six month mark (sole separated from the top part). Had to throw them away. Not good I couldn’t even get a year out of them considering they cost a fortune. I never mind paying for something that will last, but I’ve had less expensive flip flops that have lasted a couple years 🤷🏻♂️.

Not for me
There were no half sizes, so I had to go up to the next whole size. They were a poor fit. I also found them stiff, not flexible enough.
