Excellent replacement part, fitted in about 20mims from start to finish and worked first time. Great OEM substitute and a fraction of the price.

Purchased this latch mechanism for my mums 2009 Fiesta (Mk7 in UK, sometimes listed as a Mk6 in EU).There is a common fault which shows up as a "boot open" alert on the dash console, sometimes accompanied by the alarm going off randomly.this is down to the microswitch contained in the original latch unit.Simple to fix, simple remove the boot tray string, from the plastic coverings on the boot door, and pry the smaller coverings off, this reveals a screw on each side, remove these, then remove the screw in the grab handle in the main cowling.then gently pry all of the internal plastic covering off using a plastic car trim removal tool, its all held in with clips and takes a little force.then all you are left with is bolts holding the old unit in place, undo these (and retain for the new unit) and disconnect the locking cable plug.then just reverse the steps and all done!

I was trying to replace the failed boot catch cheaply on my Fiesta and this was just the job. Unfortunately it has failed after 3 months. I am now going to the main dealer where I should of gone in the first place. It was cheap for a reason. Poor quality product

My 09 fiesta was giving a 'Boot Unlocked' alarm every time I started the car, diagnosed the problem to be the microswitch in the booth catch. I ordered this part as a replacement and its dimensions were identical to the standard ford part. only two screws and one loom plug to install and the alarm issue was rectified, would recommend to anyone with a similar issue.

Bought this for my 09 Fiesta. Had intermittent boot open warning coming on. This was activating the alarm too. This part solved that. The same part from main dealer's would have cost nearly 90 pounds. It was easy enough to fit with just two bolts holding it to the rear hatch. Take care removing the covers the small metal fixings bend and ping off. The wire connector is a little fiddly. Time and patience is key. Worked for me. 👍

Like a lot of the other reviewers, I bought this product because my car (2009 Ford Fiesta Zetec) kept alerting the boot was open whilst driving.This issue had a knock on effect of causing my battery to drain over night because I’d left it so long too…Anyway, it takes 10 minutes to fit on the 09 Zetec. No need to pay for a mechanic to do it:- Remove 3 cross head screws in plastic panels.- Pull off plastic panelling.- loosen two 8mm hex nuts holding boot lock.- unclip electrical plug in the back of the lock.- remove hex nuts and boot lock entirely.- Swap with the new and reattach everything.Wish I’d done this sooner!

La cerradura llegó en apenas 5 días y funcionó perfectamente.El mecanismo venía cerrado y fue necesario desconectar y conectar el cable de la misma 2 o 3 veces hasta que el coche la detectó (no os rompáis la cabeza intentando abrirla manualmente). Después fue tan sencillo como abrir el coche con el mando y listo.La cerradura encaja perfectamente, aunque el ajuste no es tan fino como la original. Hace más ruido al abrir y cerrar y los primeros días rebotaba si se dejaba caer el portón.El sensor funciona perfectamente, motivo por el que tuve que cambiar la cerradura.

Erhalten komplett kaputt, da hat wohl einer sein altes getauscht und als retoure an Amazon geschickt, danke das habe ich dann bekommen, soll dir das Klopapier ausgehen! Kann mir direkt erneut eins kaufen. (Bild Plastik abgebrochen und auch mechanisch bei Anschluss nur klackern.)
