Walmine W10518394 Dishwasher Heating Element - Good Value
Pros:- Fast delivery.- Low Cost.- Direct Replacement for OEM part.Cons:- Doesn't use the exact same attachment nut as the OEM Part. (Comes with all the parts needed)If you have reasonable mechanical competency, this is an easy fix for a defective heating element in a Whirlpool Signature Gold dishwasher. It came with all the parts to do the repair including new connectors and a High Temp. overlimit switch. Even though some instructions say that you should be able to replace the heating element while the dishwasher is still installed in the cabinet, that is false. Remove the dishwasher completely from the cabinet, disconnect power to the diswasher and tilt the diswasher or turn it on it's side (be prepared to clean up water that will come out of the drain, pump, trap, and lines) to give access to the heating element nuts, wiring, and connectors. Do an internet search to find the diagnostic testing for your model dishwasher and to be able to reset it. If the dishwasher is not reset, the dishwasher will not power up the heating element and you may think the element was defective.I can definitely recommend this heating element for Whirlpool Signature Gold dishwashers.

Fool me once....
So.. I am a fool and did not listen to the other reviews and figured I would chance it. As you can see in the picture, unit was bent in for shipping and I have noticed a hairline fissure/crack at bend point. Not a biggie as my multimeter still shows decent resistance and good continuity. That said, installed only to find that like others the nut size is different from factory nuts and they DO NOT include replacement nuts. Which is just "nuts" right?Again, no biggie. Quick trip to Lowes for correct nuts solved this. Here is the big issue. Unit will not heat! Spent time installing only to determine it is dead on arrival. Will be shipping back.I know it is the element as I purchased a replacement locally (double the cost) but it heats well.Do not buy. Item is junk.

Amana dishy
Working perfectly in my Amana dishwasher, BUT...... IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE TERMINAL NUTS!!!! the original nuts thread look similar to like a light bulb socket (smooth and thick), this heating element has something like a metric thread pitch (like a regular bolt).

Bring your own nuts
It fits in the dishwasher and the electrical connections are right. Like others though, the thread is completely different and the original plastic fasteners wont work. A couple 7/16 nuts from the hardware store fit perfectly though.

Actual Tech Approved
Product came with two stainless nuts the correct thread size, but the thread size was exactly the same thread size as the original plastic whirlpool nuts so they were not needed, and the holes in the bottom of the dishwasher are precisely the correct size for this one. Seems to be better build quality than the original whirlpool part. Tight connectors and everything!

Doesnt fit Amana dishwashers. Wrong fitting.
Doesnt fit amana dishwashers. Wrong type of threading. Stock plastic nuts dont fit it. You have to go purchase nuts separately. With new nuts and some work. You can make it work, but it's NOT a OEM replacement.

Don’t use with plastic tub!
Works good. Too good for my plastic tub. I had some serious melting of my plastic tub with this heater element. I currently had high temp RTV preventing leaks and more melting.
