I’ve traveled with a lot of rods over the years, but this one takes it. I plan to use this without hesitation for many years.Recently took it on an extended trip to Central America. Used it for shore, inshore and a bit of blue water fishing. Used both 12 lb mono and 50 lb braided with a shock tip. Handled marvelously with all sizes and held strong with some large pelagic species.Never worried about construction, strength or capacity with this rod, and since we fish for our fuel, we depend heavily on the equipment we bring. Can’t say enough how much I’m glad to have found a dialed-in travel rod!

Ordered this as a birthday present to myself in February. Was great the first few times out on the flats boat in Florida hunting reds. Unfortunately, had a snook on today and the top tip broke. The rod had never been dropped or mishandled, maybe I received a dud? Top third is snapped above the ferrule. Never had a rod do this before.I checked TFOs site and it’s $50 dollars plus shipping both ways to have TFO fix it. Plus I’ll be down a rod for who knows how long. For $200 spinning rod I’d expect better.

Bought this rod to throw light jigs for bonefish and other flats fish in Christmas Island. What a blast! Could not ask for more in a rod for this application. Really nice option to have! Nice for small mouth as well.

After putting the rod together, mounting the reel and stringing line, I pulled on the line to see how the action was and the tip section broke off right where it connected to the mid section. The amount of force I put on the rod was less than what the Mangrove and Yellowtail Snapper put on the El Cheapo travel rod that didn't break so I'm sure it would have broken in use.I own a TFO fly rod or two and love them, not sure what happened here.

Great rod , great action and easily handles 1 OZ + when using bigger or heavier weights ! A 3 pce rod i can keep in my car that has a better feel and will handel more weight than my 7' G Loomis E6X Medium heavy

Rod looked real nice, but it wasn't what I ordered. Ordered 7'3" MH Casting rod and received 7' Spinning Rod. This was a going away present for my daughters boyfriend.

Great rod great company .convenient three piece, east to travel with. Pleasing action. Warranty is one of best out there ....and fastest turnaround. Last review...not valid. Rods get broken, they break easily if not careful.
