More Birds Elixir Hummingbird Feeder, Vintage Glass Medicine Bottle Hummingbird Feeder for Outdoors, 5 Feeding Stations, 13 Ounces

Got one of these years ago at Walmart. Birds loved it. Tried a different one later on and the hummingbirds seemed to struggle with feeding. I think it was because the metal flowers were raised on the new one. The flowers on this one are flatter. Birds seem the like this much better. Still have the original and the new one! Sturdy and easy to clean.

I've purchased about 5 different styles of hummingbird feeders over the past few years, and this is the best by far. The 20 oz. capacity is a nice size, and the glass bottle (with wide mouth) and steel base are easy to refill and to clean, as well as sturdy and long-lasting. The other feeders I purchased had glass bottles but a plastic base with plastic and or rubber flower inserts, and this was a mistake, because the rubber has disintegrated and the plastic attracts mold which after a while becomes impossible to get off.Additionally, this is also the favored feeder of the hummingbirds that visit my house. Maybe that's because the bottle is red, or maybe they like the shallow dish on the bottom, but either way, they'll ignore my other feeders until this one is empty.So in summary, I can't recommend this feeder enough, and I'll be purchasing more to replace my other feeders that have broken down.

I bought these because the feeders I had for more than 10 years in Arizona developed yucky black mold here in the Pacific Northwest -- no matter how often I scrubbed the plastic, I just couldn't get rid of it. As usual, I'm very pleased with Amazon's customer service. I had ordered two of these -- one arrived with a broken wire hanger, but Amazon replaced it very quickly, in just 2 days, without an extra charge to my account.What I love:1. The size is perfect -- they hold enough sugar water that I'm not refilling everyday, but it doesn't last long enough to have strange things growing in it. If you're considering the larger one that More Birds makes, remember that it will be heavier when it's full. Just sayin'.2. The style -- they're easy to fill, easy to carry outside without spilling sticky sugar water all over, easy to hang, easy to clean.3. The materials -- primarily glass and metal, with the plastic screw-on basin at the bottom.4. Easy for the hummers to use -- they spotted the red color right away; the feeder ports are hummingbird friendly; the little perches are sturdy and perfectly positioned.What I'm not yet sure about:1. Will they develop the dreaded black mold eventually? I'll have to wait and see, but I'm hoping that regular cleaning with hot water and vinegar will prevent it.2. How durable will these be? The wire hanger could be a weak point. I'll treat them gently.3. What about that red coating on the inside of the glass? Will it come off? Hmmm, we'll see.

When a different one by a different brand had started leaking I wanted to replace it with this type because I have a similar one from years ago and love it and finally found it here on Amazon. The one I have in the past never leaks and so easy to fill and clean because of the wide mouth. Seems like a simple thing but so appreciated!

I have two of these now and highly recommend them. I tried so many different styles in the past and discarded them for various reasons, primarily pests getting into the feeding ports and difficulty in cleaning the feeder. I have noticed that the hummers favor this style. Given a choice, they seem to prefer it. The product is well made, they are easy to clean, no rust or degeneration of materials and the feeders don't seem to have issues with ants or other pests. I like them and so do my little guests. When the birds are happy, I'm happy!

The best Hummingbird Feeder I've ever had!*The wide mouth makes it easy to fill and clean.*The reservoir is thicker plastic which is easily removed for cleaning. Other cheaper plastic ones eventually crack and leak.*The feeder openings and perch are a single metal piece which hold up really well. Plastic ones eventually crack. The only issue I've noticed is the red metal flowers on the feeder openings eventually fade but the birds don't seem to care at all.*The attached metal hanger is perfect.*The bottle is red glass which easily attracts the hummingbirds and lasts so much longer than plastic. It's flat on the top which makes it easy to fill when you turn it upside down because you can just set it flat on the counter.*When I ordered the first one, I noticed that the hummingbirds stopped going to my other feeders and seemed to prefer this one!*I prefer a smaller size feeder because it makes it easier to keep the nectar fresh. Holds about 12 oz.I've replaced my other feeders with this one!Highly recommend!

This hummingbird feeder is so pleasing to the eyes, I find it hard to stop looking at it whenever the blinds are open. It's not painted glass but coloured glass, so it won't flake. The hummingbirds love it and the biggest surprise of all, is that since it's glass, even when it's windy it barely moves. The weight keeps it barely swaying and this is helpful for the hummingbirds since they have a hard time when it's moving too much. Also, since the flowers are red, it keeps the bee's away. All-in-all, this is everything you could have ever hoped for in a feeder. Highly recommend it!

Les encanto a los colibríes que me visitan. A diferencia de los de plástico es más caro, pero vale por mucho la pena porque los otros se rompían con facilidad y no resistían días de fuerte viento. Este bebedero me ha resistido días de viento, lluvia y les encanta a los colibríes apoyar sus patitas y quedarse un rato en el bebedero, además de que le cabe más que a los de plástico y es hermoso.
