Great guest book!
I got this for my engagement party so people can take polaroids and also write a note in it (or hopefully put some cash in it). It's really high quality and such a nice color, we got the yellow which is a bit less bright than anticipated but looks classier. I would buy this again and will buy it again if I need to get married or engaged again. Who knows!

Professional Photography Portfolio
While it’s simply an album that works great for scrapbooking, this also makes for a perfectly sized portfolio for pro photographers.Depending on agency or client, they may want to see your portfolio. Whenever meeting with a client in person, you should be showing them giclée prints in a bound book, like this. Unless you’re meeting them in your studio (and if you are, wtf are you doing here?), you have no control over environmental lighting, and yet you’ll whip out a laptop (lemme guess, MacBook Pro?) or tablet (iPad Pro, huh?) and let Apple “TrueTone” your iPad Pro at max brightness.A photo looks like a photo under any light, no True Tone required. Our eyes and brains adjust, compensating for the light. Adding 2-3 uncontrollable variables to the mix doesn’t help. There’s no ambiguity or subjectivity; what’s there is there, for better or worse. At least you can rearrange, replace or remove altogether any pages that no longer fit your style or level of ability. The portfolio comes with 10 pages but you can fit up to 15. You can fit as few as 1 but you’ll need a new set of Chicago screws to take out the slop.Yes, if you didn’t know, they’re called “Chicago screws.” If you’re a millennial, you won’t care that they’re prominent in leather working, and that my familiarity with that trade is what gave me the knowledge to immediately recognize the screws used here. Just look that up and buy the length and style you need. If you’re unsure of how to correctly measure the length for ordering, just text me and I’ll be happy to fly out to wherever you are to hold your hand… screw you (pun intended), just buy a whole set. This is why it’s good to learn things beyond your own selfish purview and not just blab incessantly about how great you think you are.If you’re a working pro and you have a “digital portfolio,” and no physical portfolio, you need one of these if you ever want to advance. Every genre of photography needs a professional portfolio at some point in their business and every photographer will tell you it’s taken them a lifetime to assemble theirs. So, get a head start on yours, now. It’ll also allow you to introduce yourself to your local gallery printer or cause you to buy a professional wide format printer. No photo is finished until it’s been printed; if you’ve done your job well, both in capturing and printing, touching the finished print causes a wholly different emotional response from a client. I always gift 1 free 8x10; the amount of repeat clients to print previously shot photos far outweighs the cost of the print and shipping at double your normal profit margin (or more). That’s why good print shops last and bad quality shops die quickly: as long as you meet customer needs, it’s easy to thrive on the profit margin.Start working on your portfolio now. Get this and only print 8x10. It’s a portfolio, not a scrapbook. Make sure you cover just 1-2 genres and put them in an order that tells the story of you. As you evolve, this album allows itself to evolve with you. And don’t cheap out on the paper; the reflectivity, opacity, material and texture says a lot about you and can do a lot for an image. If you print them all in semi-gloss, or worse, toss in glossies with no rhyme or reason, you’re gonna get a lot of clients telling you “no,” and many won’t consciously know why but they’ll know you’re sloppy.

Do Not Buy! (Faulty Product)
I have never left a review before, but I had to after this disaster of a product!!!The scrapbook only comes with 10 pages and advertises that you can easily add extra refill sheets ... But Kolo sends the refill sheets with some new screws to accommodate the extra pages... AND THEY DON'T FIT!!!I actually saw other costumers complain about the same thing and I (stupidly) figured that Kolo had fixed the problem!Do your self a favor, the scrapbooks look great but DON'T WORK!!!

pretty but can't add pages
The actual album is beautiful, and send well made. I purchased extra pages to expand it, but the pieces that are supposed to screw in to expand it are a different threading from the original binding piece and won't go together more than a few rotations.I reached out to their customer service, and I got a reply, but when I followed up I never heard back from them... So now my "expandable" scrap book can't handle more than 14 pages. Huge bummer.

The Best Album Pages
The KOLO brand really makes a great product. Thick cotton paper sheets to hold your photos and mementos without collapsing or transfer through the page. I use rubber cement to attach items to pages so you can change the layout without tearing the paper.

The only scrapbook/photo album I use.
I have been exclusively using Kolo brand albums since...more than 10 years ago. They are very well made, clean looking and great color choices for the covers. The price is rather high but I think you get what you pay for. The sad thing is there used to be more sizes. I used the 4x6 soft cover ones, even 2x2 tiny albums for brag books. And I missed the 8x8 d-ring binder, which I use for my project, so I can replace the refills for different project.I'll be using their albums for as long as they make them.

No photo sleeves
There are no photo sleeves or sheet protectors. The book consists only of blank paper pages. So all photos need to be taped into the book. This was not clear to me when the book was purchased and, unfortunately, I didn’t notice until after the return window closed. This book is unusable.
