AIRHEAD Jet Fighter | 1-4 Rider Towable Tube for Boating

This was very easy to inflate and, even though we never put more than 2 adults on it at any one time, it survived a very memorable day at the lake being towed behind a boat. We took it to the pool at my sister's house the next day and the kids all loved climbing all over it and it survived there too. This is a very fun piece and was a smash hit for our weekend.

So, my dad has a lake house (and a boat), and is an Air Force vet, two of my uncles are pilots, and my brother is as well, so this was kind of a no brainer pick for some family fun, and great photos of the cousins. Made to be towed behind a boat, this allows for up to two (smaller) riders sitting astride the body, and another two laying on their stomach on the wings. Realistically though, it's most fun with either one in the middle, and one on each wing, or just in the middle, or just the wings, though you do need to have someone on both sides in that case for balance.It's fairly well made and pumps up pretty easily with a standard air inflator. It's quite huge, so if you're towing your boat, probably wait until destination to pump it up, unless you've got a really good tie-down system. It is best to rinse clean and let it dry completely before deflating to avoid mold, etc. (No matter how careful you are, it always happens with these inflatables.)Kids love the look of this and it's a lot of fun in the water. Definitely pricey for what it is, and not as easy or comfy to use as sit-up tow toys with back rests, but a unique float that is providing my kids and their cousins a lot of enjoyment.

Kids kept sinking and couldn’t stay balanced on it so we had to stop using it. The design is very poor.

First bad airhead product experience.Inflated towable looks nothing like the picture on the box.The bladders don’t fill out the nylon fully so it looked baggy and had a lot of drag, main bladder sprung a leak the first day on the water.All this after our airhead slice made it through 8 seasons, get something else.

It’s going to be a adventure filled summer after being cooped up for a year. The pandemic rollout is in full swing and shots are being given in record numbers. The CDC has already said if you have had your shot a mask is not needed anymore as I’m a dead end to the virus and so out comes the water gear and to the lake we will go. This awesome jet fighter shaped tube will have us flying through the air (Not Really Flying) but hanging on as it pulls us at twenty miles a hour over the water. It has hand grips places strategically on the jet for up to four people to ride the ride of all rides. We had one almost just like it and it was a blast to ride. This one is made with real heavy thick PVC and is made to last through many years of being dragged over water. It’s ten times better made than our last one. The grips are padded for solid gripping and make holding on to them easier with less stress on the hands. When going fast my grip seems to tighten itself more automatically so a padded grip is nice to have. I’m impressed with the workmanship and especially the welds to keep it together for the high speed runs it will be giving all of us very soon. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

Fun but I wouldn’t recommend it for smaller children. We have been tubing every since I can remember. We started with the simple circles and have tried all different sorts since then. This one is fun but the wings require a lot of strength to hold on. We had one child riding on the center sitting portion fall on top of a wing rider and bust his nose open. The kids were 10-12 years old. It also is difficult to ride in choppy water. The laying down wing positions puts a lot of stress on your spine with hard bounces and hits. The center is a better place to ride and more comfortable. The tube itself is very nicely made. It has a very heavy duty cover that doesn’t stretch out or tear. The kids used it as a swim platform for three days and it withstood the abuse very well. It never lost air. It’s a fun tube, but I think the design sets you up for injury. We have a sitting one that has a back that the kids preferred. As their parent I prefer it too. I would lean more towards the designs that your children are more secure and less likely to fall off of. This one isn’t my favorite because all the kids ended up falling off. I would also recommend getting neoprene life jackets so your kids are less likely to get rashes from the constant bumping and movement. Overall, as the worrier mother, it’s not my favorite despite that It’s nicely made. My husband likes that it’s more exhilarating. I would think it would be better for older children and adults, but my kids now use it for a floating island. We just tie it to a brick in the lemonade out of lemons fashion!

A breeze to fill with air and holds it well on the water, just adhere to the maximum weight limit and all should be well. Easy to tow. Smooth material with no sharp areas where you lie on it. Comfortable to grip handles are durable. Well crafted and should last a few seasons under normal use (don’t get stupid and drag it across sandbars, etc). Good bladders on this cool item and glides well across big waves. Super easy to rinse clean and disinfect. Let it sun dry before storage to prevent mold. I love the cute design.
