5.2 magnum
yes its do able in a 1500 Gasser, but i wouldn't recommend it, a lot more work than i was planning on, i knew it wouldn't fit when i bought it but this engine has run hot the whole time Ive owned it, the radiator is a 3 core aluminum from radiator express, had to move the tank mounts and put different mounting holes with spacers behind it, seems to work really well, pulls a lot of air, 4 stars because the 50 amp breaker did not come with any nuts.

Great Product
I get 20 plus miles per gallon up from 17.6 mpg average in my 2001 Dodge Ram 4x4 Diesel. I noticed on a steep climb where in past the auto trans would shift out of OD about halfway up the grade, now she just keeps breezing up in OD. There is some concern about pulling a heavy (13,500 lb) trailer up grades, without the 10,000 cfm clutch fan I had to pull off 3 time climbing the Grape vine to cool down...I plan to seperate out the Transmission cooling with an external cooler and see what that does for me. So far I'm verry happy with the Flex-a-lite 262

BATTERY CABLE MOUNT
I mounted the battery cable mount from the old radiator with wire. You can also add bolts to the shroud frame. I did not and have no problems and ben running for 9 months. I have not had any over heating problems since I put this on. I pull a 27 foot camper and going up hills it seems to pull enough air through.

Doesn't work if you tow
If your Cummins diesel is just a daily driver and you don't tow this could probably work for you, but if you tow, even light (I tow a 21ft travel trailer) this will eventually leave you on the side of the road overheated. With my stock fan and shroud I have been able to tow 65 mph on the interstate and engine temp never got higher then 195 degrees. First camping trip this summer after installing the flex-a-lite and the first steep grade I would normally just cruise over the top and my temp gauge pegged out at 240, 'check gauges' light on and had to slow to 40-45 mph just to keep the temp off 240. It just doesn't seem to pull enough air to keep things cool and with a Cummins that shouldn't be a concern. Once I get home I'm going back to OEM setup and trying to sell this thing.

Good product
Really good replacement fit. Relatively simple install. Needed more cooling for bigger injectors when the truck is working and this draws more air over the factory clutch fan. Needed to purchase some wire loom separately to complete the factory look and it looks great. Like the manual mode too.
