Got this for my nephew for Christmas - I plan ahead. It's frankly awesome. Made from a real horn, the coloring is really beautiful. Holds a full 16 oz, horn and handle are made from one horn and the it is really comfortable to hold. As I said, I might keep this for myself!!

The media could not be loaded. I got this for my son who plays a lot of DND. I am extremely pleased with the lettering and how they were able to actually do a different language. The lettering is embossed and gold, but not too deep where it will leak. The horn is absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to give it to him, it is lightweight and very well-made

After reading mostly positive reviews, I decided to purchase one of these VERY cool Ale Horns. The Seller's site was very interesting and quite extensive. The people from AleHorn are obviously very proud of their craft. As they should be. They seemed very dedicated and are obviously working hard to make a splendid hand crafted product; also more than willing to make sure that even the most critical customer is happy with their purchase, and sincerely care about correcting even the smallest problem.Okay, the ship&delivery was fast enough, just a couple of days. The presentation was also cool. The horn and stand comes in a nice cloth sack with the sellers logo on it. Each horn is different, so I opened mine hoping for a good one.. well, I didn't get a good one.. I GOT A FREAKING AWESOME ONE!!! The pictures I took do not do this horn justice! The rim fit like a handmade rim should. No leaks. And what's all that griping about smell?? My horn has only a faint trace of an odor that comes from drilling out the center. It will go away in no time, just make sure you rinse it out thoroughly to get any lose debris out of the horn, then pour a couple of of horns full of diet coke. The sweet smell and the fizzy carbonation will rid the horn of any off putting odor. Maybe AleHorn has stepped their game up, cuz I cannot find ONE SINGLE THING bad about this horn! I have already ordered more from these guys; I ordered a set of two matching ale cups for the upcoming Celtic holiday of Maybon, (the Autumnal Equinox. There will be a lot of ale flowing, grown men in kilts, big guys hamming it up and a lot of boisterous yelling (this makes the wives roll their eyes and try not to laugh) playing lots of games consisting mainly of making use of these cool ale horns, and throwing sharp pointy things at a target! Good times!The Celtic games are only allowed to be played by fully grown and skilled gentlemen trained in the arts of the Highland Scottish games. Yes, we're nutballs, but.. have another horn of ale!! We begin to make perfect sense!

I was unsure of what the quality of this horn cup would ultimately be and I am very pleased! High quality, beautifully made and practical product!

Ok, so I have wanted to nab one of these for awhile. I bugged my girlfriend about it before, but couldn’t justify the price for a “cup”. That said, i think the concept is good, and I personally think the price is very reasonable for what it is.My interest was reignited with the release of...you guessed it...AC Valhalla. I wanted to be able to toss back a horn of mead while a traversed the English countryside!So I finally convinced the girlfriend they were worth getting and ordered one for each of us. When they arrived, I excitedly opened them up and prepared a bottle of mead. I noticed that one was considerably larger than the other, but no worries! I can drink a lot more than my girlfriend anyways!That’s when I ran into the first issue. They come filthy inside. Now I realize this is off a a real animal, but you’re selling a cup. Maybe rinse the thing out before packaging it all up? But I assumed I could just give it a quick clean and move along. I rinsed them, and was disappointed to see that the inside has quite the texture to it. The coating is really nice on the outside, but the inside is still...well...a horn. It has texture and never quite looks clean. This was no big deal really though, so I moved forward with drying them out. That’s when the smell started. So you’ll see some other reviews referencing the smell and I will start by saying it’s not THAT bad. That said, the presence of liquid in the horn (water) sure activated a wonderful smell that can only be described as a “cow” smell. My girlfriend who was semi-recently safely converted from the cult of veganism already had her qualms about this being a REAL horn, but I had convinced her that it was making use of a part that would otherwise be wasted. That said, the smell didn’t put me off to much, but it did with her.After deciding the other issues really didn’t matter much, I decided to pour myself a cup and try out the horn for myself. I filled it about 3/4 of the way and set it on its stand on my coffee table. Within about 30 seconds the sideways leaning stand showed that it could not in fact support the horn when it has liquid in it. The whole thing toppled over spilling all over the brand new carpet my girlfriend had just purchased.So at the time of this post I am returning my Alehorns in order to help save my relationship lolUnfortunately, the craftsmanship is just not on par with what I had hoped. You can see in the attached photos that the rim of the cup is also not well attached and even has some chipping of the horn and glue. Extremely disappointed, but I still hope to perhaps try again with one of the horn cups at some point in the future.Amazon said I should mention craftsmanship, giftable and warmth...so there, I just did.Skäl!!

I love that a full can of beer goes in a lot of the other ones capacity isn't as big so you have to carry your can on with the horn, this one capacity is fantastic. A great surprise gift for game of thrones and viking fans....love it x

Bought for son who loves all things Viking. It’s very tactile, the grip is good and the overall feel is great. Did have slight odour when first unpacked, not unpleasant but did mean it needed a few washes before use. It’s amazing with hot drinks as it’s not too hot to the touch even when the liquid is near boiling temp. So far it’s a definite favourite and well worth the cost. Would recommend.
