3MAura Valved Respirator Mask, Code 9322,

These are good quality masks. wearing one gives you a feeling of 'being safer' than just a useless cheap mask which gives the illusion it will protect you but in reality it doesn't.With these they give you a good snug fit over the bridge of your nose with a proper seal. They also have a bit which fits under your chin so you feel as secure as you can.Still too expensive to buy but for the price you receive a quality mask which does in fact do the job. Can you really be without a real, proper mask?

The mask is individually wrapped in 3M logo, assuming it is genuine. The overall quality and fit of the mask is great, however there is a very strong chemical scent, I think from the padding on the nose part. Hoping it will dissipate once i leave it out of the package.

Honestly, it’s a great mask, and with a good value for money at the time I bought it (September 2020). I used it for six hours non-stop and I didn’t have a single problem with it, I’ve even found it more comfortable than the usual, standard, masks. Make sure to watch the video on the manufacturer website because you need to wear it in a certain way for it to be efficient.

Having worked in labs for a long time, I knew I wanted a "better class" of mask, which this is as it has an efficient filter and it fits well around your face. The padding around the nose greatly reduces/removes your glasses misting up! It does use 2 elastic bands, which it make it more difficult to put on/take off when wearing glasses, but to get better protection in very crowded places in future, it works for me.

They need to be worn properly, they need careful adjusting, the elastic snaps too easily (it doesn't on the cup-type they sell, just on these ones) and if you are not careful, they work into a bad fit quickly.On the other hand they are more comfortable by far than the cup-type and easier to breathe in (but that is probably because they work less well and so make a poorer seal).You pay more because they are 3M, who specifically state that masks are not to be sold individually or broken out of their retail boxes and do not authorise sellers to do that, so you take a risk about authenticity.I use 3M because it is a reputable brand, but I have no idea whether these are indeed 3M. Whatever you do, make sure to go online to 3M and look up how to fit, wear and test-fit the masks, otherwise they are worse than useless.

An excellent mask to protect me. O was unable to wear on the plane as planned as vented masks are not currently permitted. I also didn't realise that these masks are designed to protect the wearer and not the person near you as mostasls are as the air exhaled air that is realeased is not filtered as with most masks which is the whole point for reducing the possible spread of the covid 19 infection

Probably the best mask for reducing dust etc when in a poor environment. I haven't yet but i think if i went on the tube etc i would wear it even though its a bit uncomfortable. it is however easy the breath in it.
