I’m 5’9” 177lbs and ordered the XL size and glad I did. I have just enough room under the shirt to but on a thin quick-dry short-sleeve underlayer for those slightly chilly mornings. I’m happy that the shirt is long enough too, since the material tends to ride up a little bit when getting in and out of my kayak. The shirt fits nicely and looks good.

The sizes are weird. Based on the graph I ordered an XL and it was way too big so I ordered a large and it fits way better. I'd recommend leaning more on the waist numbers and your typical shirt size.

My last name is Smith but this said O'Neill on the front for some reason. I caved to peer pressure and introduced myself as Mr. O'Neill to everyone at the beach. That was over a month ago. The name kind of stuck so I had my name legally changed so that I don't have to lie to strangers anymore. My first name is actually Neil so I feel sort of silly now having the name Neil O'Neill and I always need to explain that it's actually Neil with just one L. I'm just glad I found a special lady recently at the beach who likes me despite my odd name. I don't know her first name yet but she confirmed my guess that her last name is Quicksilver. I can tell these things just by looking at someone. It's like a gift of sorts. Not bragging. Well, back to surfing for me! I mean, I can't just type reviews all day! Thanks for reading my story! Alright, so I own a couple of these O’Neill shirts. When I head to the Caribbean, it’s what I throw in the suitcase. I’m fish belly white, I’m a 50 spf guy. I’m basically allergic to sun!!! These things work to keep me from frying. If I jump in the water to snorkel or swim a couple times each day, no problem they dry in 10 minutes in the sun!! They are not hot to wear In the sun, they are really quite comfortable. They are my choice for beach or boat wear every time. Just say your on the mesoamerican reef and plan on snorkeling for 4 hours straight, no problem , your back won’t get burnt. Your bald head though, that’s a different story!! Get one and enjoy!

I bought this just before my Hawaii trip. Initially I had one more SPF and rash-guard vest which was too tight, whereas this product fit me just right, a tad short on the sleeves but it's ok. I used it for snorkelling, swimming and continue to use it for swimming in Nor-cal. Happy with this product so far. It seems to be helping against the sun, which was my primary purpose for buying it.

I bought this to float the river. I’m a redhead and it helps keep me from getting sunburned. I also get extremely hot so it’s nice to have something wet on me all day.

I (182cm, 85kg) ordered L, but it is slightly too small. I did not go through the trouble to return and just kept it. You should order at least one size bigger...
