My grandchildren ages 16 - 2 all love music. Grandsons 8-16 play drums, guitar, violin & keyboard. Last Christmas I wanted to give my two youngest ( 2 ½ & 18 months) something that would be stimulating and with which they could interact. While looking through Amazon’s STEM toys, I found these adorable pianos. Thought they would be something different & would get them interested in music. My sister, a children’s occupational therapist, has told me playing an instrument helps motor skills, listening and memory; all activities that are used in everyday life. Learning the piano can help language development, planning skills, increases math abilities and helps reduce anxiety. The earlier you get a child on an instrument the easier it will be for them. My grandmother started me at 3. These little pianos are AMAZING! My grandson & granddaughter were so excited; we couldn’t get them out of the packaging quick enough. Being a replica of a grand piano they are elegant, attractive and can be left out in public rooms of home without being unsightly. They are also small enough to be tucked away in a closet or even under a bed. They come in a variety of colors, white, black, blue & pink. Their sound is mellow, not tinny or harsh to the ear. There is a volume button that can be turned up or down depending on what volume is suitable for time of day. Pianos are made of quality material, are lightweight, but sturdy with no sharp edges. Even our “little 18 month “princess” can pick hers up and carry it to location of her choice. After opening ,I sat both grandchildren down together and gave them their pianos. I showed my grandson how to change the multiple rhythms, play the demo songs and to touch the keys lightly; not pound on them. Later he told his sister “don’t pound, touch lightly”. When my grandson saw the microphone, he was thrilled; immediately took it out of its holder and began to sing into it. He knows what a microphone is from watching his dad do karaoke. My daughter had set the record button on his piano, so all the music he created and sang got recorded. I was astonished by the quality and diversity of these little pianos. They have keyboard abilities but are packaged as cute little pianos. A child can generate their own music which can be recorded by the piano, so the child can then listen to what they created. Also, installed in the piano are 22 popular children’s songs which a child can listen to and learn to sing along with the music. A terrific teaching tool that will prepare them for pre-school. There are also control buttons that can deliver 8 different percussion instruments and 4 musical instruments helping a child to appreciate different sounds and identify various instruments. The piano’s automatic energy-saving system prolongs battery life, so batteries last longer. Cuts down on having to keep a stock of batteries on hand. Though these pianos are toys, small, and reasonably priced, the confidence, self esteem and pride they will build in my grandchildren will be priceless. My son-in-law was so impressed with these little pianos he gave me ”THE CHRISTMAS PRESENT OF THE YEAR award.”

This works very well and the microphone quality is surprisingly good! The only downside is the volume all the way down is still pretty loud. So sorry for the parents of the kid who owns this! But again still a good buy!

I purchased 3 of these for my little nieces! They are very cute and seem sturdy. Very disappointed that there is NO INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED! I knew they took batteries, but nothing on box saying what size or how many so I could include them with the gift! They do take 3 AA! Screw on back very hard to remove to put batteries in!! My little nieces love them!! NEED INSTRUCTIONS PUT IN BOX AND HOW MANY BATTERIES AND SIZE NEEDED!

Its definitely a unique product. Sometimes the buttons stick or are not responsive. I wouldn't say any of the instruments sound tuned. The microphone sounds like a potato, but my kids definitely don't care. They enjoy clanging this things around all over the house. Its definitely a trick to try and turn down the volume, tape over the speaker might be the best bet. Hopefully they can upgrade their parts and improve a new version.

Like many Products purchase on Amazon, the Products are Bigger and colorful and price looks Manageable until, it arrivesan you open the package, Then you feel like once again for purchasing from amazon

I bought it for my 3 year old granddaughter she loves it but what I did not like about this Piano Keyboard is that you have to place it up against something or it will not stay still while playing.

This is smaller than I'd like but I gave it as a gift and it was well received and much played with. The microphone was a surprising hit.

Its a nice toy to get started and grab the attention of my toddler . She really enjoyed the preset sounds/ music coming in from them .On the flip side some of the parts appeared to be flimy and broke when she dropped it from a height of about 2 feet .
