This 4th edition book has been updated since the initial releases and is a great resource for beginners and those who are looking to learn about the hobby. There are lots of useful diagrams to explain the principles and practices of the hobby allowing reader to gain a great understanding quite quickly an easily. All aspects of the hobby are included, from selecting the right models, selecting radio equipment, what tools and equipment you might need, building the aircraft, installing radio/control mechanisms, covering and the first flights you will inevitably make. I had this book as a kit and lost it, so I brought this book used for my 9 year old son - it's still a great resource today and the Boy can't put it down...

Building & Flying Radio Controlled Model Aircraft
Ok, this book covers many subject matters very well from a Canadian stand point, but it is dated for 2006. A lot has changed since this book was published. As a retired aircraft mechanic along with many years in building model aircraft, reviewing the information David covered was interesting. I am not sure it would be all that great for someone entering the hobby in 2013.I am not disappointed in the purchase!!!!

Building and Flying Radio Controlled Model Aircraft
Considering that this is a 'NEW RELEASE', the contents are somewhat disappointing. The book covers a wide range of topics, but only gives a brief amount of information about each subject. The photos are all black and white, rather dated and for a 2005 book, I would have expected good colour photographs of more up to date items.

Building and Flying Radio Controled Model Aircraft (Fourth Edition) by David Boddington.
Looked colourfull front page but thats about it, outdated, 1940 style pictures, very disapointed. nearly a waste of money, would I recomend this? NO, Dont judge the book by the cover.
