The ticking is so loud that it’s stressful to use it. Even my cat gets stressed out when I use this. Would be perfect and so useful if it wasn’t so harshly alarming.

The ticking isn’t extremely loud, but it’s loud enough to be distracting while I work on something in a quiet room. If you set it on a pillow at least 3 feet away from you and then have some music or the TV going, you probably won’t notice it. I was looking for something quieter than that, so this will probably be relegated to kitchen timer duty.

I wanted a quiet timer, but this is not even audible. I mean... it's cute and looks kinda like a lime... but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend.

Loud and clicky, just like I wanted. Bought one for myself and one as a gift for a family member.As with most mechanical timers, make sure to turn all the way before setting the desired time, otherwise the spring that activates the bell will not be wound up enough to ring at the end.

I got this to practice the pomodoro study method. It does what a timer is supposed but with a very distracting ticking noise.

I wanted this timer for my office, to remind me when a patient was done with their treatment. For that purpose, it's not great, because it has a ticking sound and a really loud bell.For the kitchen, however, I think it'd be great. The ticking sound is a reminder to pay attention and the bell can alert you even if you've wandered away from the kitchen.AND it's really cute.

So cute. I use to time nail dry when I do my nails or color my hair. Easy to use. Alarm sound not very loud. Basically sounds just 1 short ring, so I need to be neat timer to hear. Would have liked a louder ring. Serves what I needed it for.
