Pretty darn good
Used this with salsa con queso for dip and it worked pretty good. Didn’t add any seasoning to it and had a decent taco taste. Will be buying more for camping

These are Decent Products Across The Board.
Look. It all depends on what you expect. I've tried a couple of products from Chatta. I've tried the pulled pork and the refried beans with chorizo cheese. They are tolerable. If you expect processed food to belike mom just kicked it out of her oven, you're going to be disappointed. If you are using products like these for everyday cooking.....Flat out, you are wrong. If I came off 15 miles on the trail and warmed these products up over a portable stove with some crackers, I'd be in heaven. If you've never eaten processed food in a pouch when you're hurting cold, wet, and/or exausted then you really can't accurately review these products. It's food in a pouch, people. I gave the products across the board a 4 star rating. It could be seasoned better. It's not perfect. It does what it's supposed to do.

Crackling Salsa Verde is quite meaty & salty, but could use help
Pro - Quite satisfyingly meaty. Easy pantry protein source. Conveniently sized for singles or couples @ 1-2 servings per packet by my standards. Mostly Keto friendly. Heat & eat easy prep. Not greasy despise relatively high stated fat content.Con - I'm a saltaholic & found this overly salty yet strangely flavorless. This has too little Verde flavor. Suggest adding fresh chopped onion, cilantro & poblano or serrano chile, or some fresh Pico de Gallo salsa. Cost per pound for saucy pork is quite high & stated shelf life is much shorter than any canned foods. My review is based on direct skillet heat & eat w/o anything added (I ate the whole package contents as one meal).YMMV

This stuff makes the best Machaca and Eggs!
The last time I had machaca was in Mexicali, checking into customs with my late dad. I loved it. That was 50 years ago. So, I started making treats for my dogs in the form of something like Milk Bones. The difference here is that I am using all the best stuff. They have white and cracked wheat flour, with egg, pumpkin, and water. I thought they could use a little more protein, so I mixed in some machaca. Wow! They loved that. That aside, it is really tasty with excellent seasoning. You just cannot beat machace and eggs. YUM!!!!!

WOW! WOW! WOW!
Wasn't sure what to expect when the Chata Pork Chilorio Pouch of Shredded, Seasoned Pork Meat arrived. Then I tore open the pouch. Let's just say I could have consumed that entire pouch by myself. It is that tasty. The spice is not overpowering. It has the flavor but there's very little heat. As someone noted in another review, you open the pouch and there's meat. All meat! No excess juice or fat. Quite a surprise and you can't beat the price. WOW!

Beef pouch
Tasted good but, too expensive for amount of beef you get.

Bland and expensive
Perhaps I got a dud, but my package was virtually flavorless. I had to put a shameful amount of salt in this to get it to even remotely taste like something. This was surprising given the amount of sodium it already has. This is also rather expensive. You can make a weeks worth of shredded pork for less than this.I just....really don't see the appeal to this product. It looks unappetizing. It tastes like nothing. It's expensive.

Good taste, just a touch greasy
I really like these for camping. Taste is good, though maybe a touch greasy. Packaging is great for packing in a food barrel for later in the trip. Makes great tacos.

My opinion is that it makes a great "readily available" burrito stuffer.
My opinion is that it makes a great "readily available" burrito stuffer, when added to rice and/or beans. I personally added it to a pan of pre-packaged rice+flavor mix and instantly wished I had a burrito wrap to put it in.

Great Taco Meat.
I really wasn't sure about this product. However curiosity got the better of me and I had to order it. My son and I made taco's with it and they were great. I have increased the number of units I have on my "subscription" service so that we can have this more often.
