I was using a pair of 15 inch hats for the past 4 years and really enjoyed their overall performance, clarity and sensitivity.I was looking at replacing them with the same brand, Meinl, as all my other cymbals that I had replaced.It was a choice of either the 15 inch Dark, or these. I'm glad I went with these.The overall tone of these is just brilliant!Being 15s, they have a longer and slightly darker slosh, but, when closed up, are clear and sturdy.I am really loving how these pickup even the smallest and quiet ghost notes. And the choked and open slosh, for me, is just awesome.I love these hats and look forward to many years of shows and recording with them.

I am and always will be a Zildjian guy. However, i have tried the others. These hat's are amazing. Great tone. I was looking for an additional set so i didn't have to swap from one set to another. ( i play in two different bands)These are perfect!

I like the clean, bright tone that these have BUT it takes some force to hear them live. Playing them open takes some finesse to get a good consistent tone. It’s easy to make these sound like trash, but there’s potential when played with discipline. Good for recording and maybe lighter jazzy gigs where drums are mostly background. For any other occasion I’d keep shopping.

First off, I got a great deal on a used set of these cymbals that are in excellent condition with only a few small marks on the top hat. They sound fantastic no matter how you play them (and while not a rarity, it was nice to find that the bell produced a really rich sound). I am definitely impressed and will be playing these for years.

Only issue is the seller only sent “one” hi hat cymbal instead of a pair as stated. Otherwise these are AMAZING cymbals.

Falsely advertised. Not a "pair" , bottom piece only sent. Packaged very poorly, thrown into the box.

Cymbals get 5 stars. They sound like the video demo, they are not high end, but they are really good for about $200. Amazon get’s a 1 star, they arrived in a plastic envelope with no padding, and it was torn. The plastic pin holding them together was scuffed. I checked for damage, didn’t see any. But seriously Amazon, you put highly polished metal cymbals in a plastic bag, one ding or dent and you can throw them away! You can do better Amazon!
