I have loved Vita Bath Spring Green scent for years but it has become more difficult to find. When you can find it, it’s hit & miss on the price from overly excessive to reasonable. Though I got mine at a reasonable price, what I perceive as price gouging for a bath salt is the reason for the 4 star review.

It reminds me of my younger years; my Dad's favorite gel.

I haven't purchased a Vitabath product in years. In my teens and early 20's I was absolutely enamored of their original Spring Green bath gel with its magical pine, patchouli and rosewood fragrance. At my advanced age, I particularly enjoy a relaxing mineral salt bath before bed, so I welcomed the opportunity to try Vitabath's Amber, Jasmine and Musk scented bath soak. While the scent is not nearly as potent (or enjoyable) as the original, I still really like this stuff. As with all Epsom salts, it makes the water feel luxuriously slippery and silky and leaves my skin comfortable and lightly moisturized, But unfortunately, there's no lingering fragrance. As a matter of fact, the recommended amount (one fifth of the jar) did little to scent my bath once it was completely full. I have a deep clawfoot tub and the meager amount of fragrance just isn't strong enough to compete with all that water. But all in all, this is a great tonic for sore muscles and dehydrated skin. Nice to visit with an old friend.

The fragrance lingers on your skin after your bath. I also add these to my foot bath when giving myself a pedicure. Probably better to use these salts at night due to the retinyl palmitate in the formula.Vitabath is pricier than some brands, but the scent is so amazing that I don't mind treating myself. They'd also make a lovely gift.
