Great Film!
This was a very good film and if you are a Adam Driver fan....you'll love it!Loved the ending....even tho sad that they still divorced. I like how "the couple cared so much for their young son", they were willing to work together to raise him. Both actors did a super job of showing both sides of a divorce and trying to gain custody of their child. Didn't disappoint.

Yeah, that a marriage.
I got this for my wife. She loved it. I guess a woman would more than a man. Not being seist .... but you know what I mean. My wife is more observant about these things. Like what do I know. lol. See the movie, it is worth it.

‘I never really came alive for myself; I was only feeding his aliveness’
Noah Baumbach both wrote and directed this perfectly developed piece of cinematic art – one of the most incisive examinations of the love core of marriage and the peripheral inanities that dissolve the legal union while allowing the sense of ‘us’ as a family to persist. The cast is rich in peak performances: Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver as the couple with Azhy Robertson as their son (a key reason for the importance of family), Merritt Weaver and Julie Hagerty as the maternal family, and Laura Dern, Ray Liotta and Alan Alda as the three egregious lawyers who staple together a costly divorce. Not only is the subject of marriage and divorce as superbly explored by Johansson and Driver insightful, but also the role of lawyers enacting the harsh realities of divorce is as polished as it is harsh. The musical score by Randy Newman underlines the drama without ever inundating it, and the cinematography by Robbie Ryan is exemplary. But in the end the kudos belong to Noah Baumbach: he has created an important and impressive film that will likely become the definitive dissection of marriage and divorce and the lasting glue of family. Criterion Version: 5-stars
The Criterion folks go the extra mile for all of their releases. In this particular release, two things of note: 1. The notes that Charlie and Nicole wrote each other are included in the front and rear cover of the BluRay. 2. There's a fold out section: Charlie's close-up photo is on the top, turn the insert over and Nicole's close-up photo is included. Open the middle insert and Henry's photo (Charlie's and Nicole's son) is seen. This is a very clever take on the plot. Often times when a couple divorce and a child (or children) are involved, they are stuck in the middle of the controversy.Aces for the Criterion folks. Whenever I purchase physical media, I always check the Criterion folks first as they always get it right.

Amazing Movie, Great Extras, Bad Case
Marriage Story is my favorite movie of 2019, and one of my favorite movies of the decade. This release is really great, but it has one major flaw. It’s paper based case is a little lame. I would have preferred a hard plastic case with this release. The movie is an easy 10/10 for me, and the extras are great. However, the case is not.

Could be Better
i would give this movie 5 stars but the DVD comes in a plastic dvd case with a small paper booklet and 2 dvds. the only blu ray option is 4k which comes in a nice package with a book. other than that, no problems with the case or dvds and i like watching the interviews for the film.

So much more than the movie!
The movie case is phenomenal with it's fold out pieces under the main cover, inside it comes with many goodies and was almost a bonus package with the movie itself in my opinion. The special features are great and the product is just amazing and exceeded my high expectations
