Vermont Christmas Company Puppies Galore Jigsaw Puzzle 1000 Piece

I think my wife summed it up best: "I know this was a pain in the [rear] to put together, but that's a really beautiful puzzle!"Yes, it ended up being one of the more difficult puzzles we've ever done. Put it this way, except for the bulldog (pug?), the dogs were the last thing we put together; i.e. it was easier to sort through the background pieces and assemble those components first. There are four brown dogs, plus two with brown components. There are three white dogs. Even the very top of the chocolate lab's head is almost white, with a brown tinge. So good luck sorting! I was way off on several pieces where I was absolutely sure they went with one dog only to discover later that they went somewhere completely different. :-) Those four brown puppies in the opposing corners were a real pain. You wouldn't think so (or at least I didn't when I bought the puzzle), but it's true.The puzzle is good quality, except the pieces do not interlock well... which adds to the difficulty of assembling this thing, of course. It was really frustrating at times. Most frustrating, in my opinion, is having to deal with pieces that are smaller than my pinky fingernail. That's ridiculous. Have a good magnifying glass handy.As my wife said, though, it really is a beautiful puzzle when finished. Not to mention the satisfaction (relief?) of finally finishing it. If you've got a long holiday weekend to kill and are a patient person, this puzzle will keep you occupied. [Truth be told, it took us a long holiday weekend plus another entire Saturday the following weekend.]

We did this puzzle in less than a week. It was rather difficult, and had small pieces, some of them odd shaped. We are missing one piece. Not sure who is at fault. The pieces were smaller and the difficulty was greater than the Dockside Dogs puzzle we had done previously. There are some pieces that could go in the wrong places. We didn't encounter that as much with the other puzzle.

I like that the puzzle is challenging and takes more than a few hours or even a day to finish. The pieces are easy to handle and very sturdy. The puzzle is adorable and very colorful. I am enjoying every bit of putting it together!

This is not a bad puzzle. The pieces are thick so they do not bend easily, yet they are a bit strange in that not all of the pieces are common "puzzle-piece-shapes", which makes the puzzle a little challenging. The puzzle is made in and shipped from the USA, and the picture is nice enough to frame. I would probably buy from this company again.

We have done many puzzles. This one has the best color, quality and shape pieces of them all! It is so much fun putting it together. We will be purchasing more in the near future.
