Henle Latin Workspace A

I use it along with Latin with Andy and the other Henle books. This is Latin grammar not language learning.

The author understands how to study a language classically. The workbook is designed to walk the student through that process step by step. You might notice some lessons are introduced in the workbook, "out of order" but this was done on purpose. Using the Henle text and grammar books, the author of this book though it made the most sense to get previews of later ideas at critical times and then review again later more in depth.Also, there may not be enough room to do ALL the exercises in the space provided - again this was purposeful. The author of this book intends students to study Henle -First Year for 3 years in a row. Covering the first 1/3 of the book in the first year; 2/3s in the 2nd year and the whole book the 3rd year. So Latin Workspaces A is meant to be for just the first 1/3 of the book. Because of this, ALL of the exercises aren't necessary as they will revisited again and again.Also this book was intended to be used only the first year of studying Latin with a Classical Conversations Community. (There are more workbooks if you come in on the 2nd or 3rd year, the intent is to use the workbooks the student's 1st year only.)
