These overalls are great, overall.
Overall, these overalls are great. I got the the brown in 34x30 and they fit really nice. They are sort of long but if I slide the strap adjusters as far as they go then it's fine. If I take off my boots I do step on the bottom of the pant legs a bit but if I keep my boots on then I don't step on them. They fit really well all around (no baggy crotch, no floppy bib, straps don't slide off shoulder, fits my but well, etc)

Sizing chart is pretty close
Seems the sizing chart is close or I may of just got lucky. Only downfall is with welding or hot sparks as they do burn holes easily, otherwise they are awesome work pants. Must have for feild mechanic as the knee pads are a life saver. Wish I would of spent the money years ago. I left a 4 star review as I currently do not know the life span to price figure. Will update when i see how long they last.

Comfortable and extremely well made.
I love them overall, only thing that irks me are the strap adjustments. After every wash, I have to readjust them. Other than that, these are brilliant. Love them.

Will shrink to fit!
I’m 76 years old, retired US Army (24 years) and retired NC Forest Service (21 years). Now my uniform consists of coveralls (nearly everyday, all day) and I love my new Carhartts! I’m 6’ tall with a 48” waist and a 31” inseam.. I ordered a size regular with a 50 inch waist and 30” inseam hoping they wouldn’t be too big. Well they were too big until I washed and rinsed them twice in Hot water then tumble dried them at a Hot setting. They came out … a perfect fit for me !

Front pockets are to small
I tried them on. Washing first to soften up some. Appear to be well made. I normally buy Liberty. These are heavier. I bought these because Liberty didn't offer 28 in length in black. What I noticed on 5 minute try on, is that the front pockets at waist or only half as deep as a pocket should be. If you spend much time laying on your back, changing oil for instance, you won't have anything in your pockets when you get done. What they have going for them, is proper size. I am 5'-9", Overalls have wide legs. If you buy to long, you will be walking on them. Blue jeans bunch up on you boot, and generally stop this from happening.

Not quite as good.
Don't get me wrong, these are fine overalls. They're still sturdy and tough and quite comfortable. But I question whatever decision-making process went into the redesign of the pockets. Compared to the previous version, they're all smaller, shallower, and less useful. Sure, there's a new big zipper pocket in the bib, but it's just that, one big pocket. Part of what made carhartt overalls great for me was the abundance of separate pockets in which to securely store my stuff. Now it's all just jangling around in there. Still, could be worse.

The best work wear.
Bought these as I have the holstered work pants which I wear every day at work. But with having a large at home project, which takes up a lot of my weekend, I needed something extra. Just throw them on and get grafting, they are super thick and feel really rugged. Been laying Indian flags in them the last couple of week, now doing some stud timber work inside. And I can say they work well in any environment. The pockets on the front are mega for you phone, pencils and Stanley and whatever you want to store, even started hooking the tape on one of them for easy access.Well work the money and fit perfectly.

Redesigned and made worse.
I have worn Carhartts duck canvas overalls and trousers for work for many years. There was a time where the canvas was a lot weaker but these seem to be of better quality canvas. However, there are three subtle but major design changes with this iteration of dungarees/bibbed trousers.1. The main pockets are now so shallow I have twice had my wallet fall out and lost the best part of the day retracing my steps. I now try not to use those pockets and may have to sew them up before I lose my wallet permanently.2. The elastic on the shoulder straps has changed. I believe this is an attempt to stop them slipping as much but the elastic has frayed within a week or 2 on both new design pairs and is now steadily losing more material.3. They have added an elasticated section at the buttons on the hips. These may provide a slightly tighter fit (although I never had any problem with the old design) however these have also frayed and don't look like they will last long.I used to like Carhartt clothing as it will take a beating, but it's popularity has obviously caused them trouble keeping up with demand and quality has slipped, first with inferior canvas and now with elastic. As for the pockets I can't see how it would pass muster unless they are now more interested in tailoring to the 'looking cool' hipster with hands half in pockets than producing reputable workwear?

Excellent quality workwear, heavy duty.
There’s no doubting that the price, which is above average, is reflected in the weight of the fabric and the quality of the garment. I suspect these will outlive me.
