After the Purito testing scandal last year, it’s difficult to fully trust that this sunscreen truly offers 50++ spf, without any further information or lab results published. Otherwise it’s fantastic as far as application and wear. I’ve been unable to find anything other than an ingredients list and a couple brief reviews online that were made before independent lab tests revealed that some Korean sunscreens were overstating their protection abilities, and I’m not sure if Pestlo was one of those brands. I’m still anxiously hoping to find out more, because I’d love to use this as my everyday spf. Even if it’s just 30 spf that would be good enough because reapplication goes on well; it dries down and smells lovely with no white cast on light/medium skin.

I don't know if the ingredients have changed since I last purchased few yrs ago, but the consistency of this one isn't the same. Not as good as what I had purchased before; something is off.Nevertheless, still makes my skin glow and looking healthy. Will leave a slight white cast, but I love that and the brighting effect is natural to me.

I decided to return it so unfortunate I don’t have a review except It had a couple irritants in the ingredients and is way too expensive for a small sunscreen

It’s a good SPF. Not at all sticky. It absorbs easily, leaves matte finish. Since I have dry skin, I’m not really into matte, but I know that’s important for other people. Even with dry skin, I don’t like heavy feeling products on my skin, so I did appreciate that it absorbed really well. My one issue is the smell. I’m not really sensitive when it comes to smells, so I continued to use it a few times. But, it’s too overwhelming. Almost nauseating. I feel bad saying that, because it is a good product. But, I’m definitely not going to use it again.

First of all, the packaging is really cute. Anyways with the product, I like this sun essence because it works as a moisturizer AND a sunscreen. My face is oily so sometimes I just use this as a moisturizer instead of putting on my lotion. In a way, this is a great moisturizer that has a high SPF! This product also doesn't leave my face greasy compared to other sunscreen products I used in the past. I have sensitive skin but I personally haven't experienced any irritation or breakouts from this product. Overall, this is a great product!

I have dry skin. Very moisturizing. Works well under a full face of makeup and a full face of 7 step korean skincare routine. Exactly what I was looking for. However, I cant say if it really has that much spf protection since I am not a chemist. I hope it is not false advertisement as this sunscreen was exactly what I was looking for : super lightweight, doesn’t pile with sunscreen, great primer for makeup and doesn’t pile. Smells like Vicks, white cast until fully absorbed after a few minutes. Wonderful product with great ingredients

I SWORE by this sunscreen for years b/c it was one of the best formulated 100% physical sunscreen that had PA++++ and made my skin look toned up, porelesss, and matte. So imagine my shock when I ordered my usual sunscreen and went to use it. The first time I put it on I could tell the formula was complete different than before. The scent smelled like chemical spf and it left an extremely shiny cast that did nothing for my large pores. I come back on Amazon and realized that the ingredients have now changed from 100% physical to a hybrid physical plus chemical sunscreen. I am so so disappointed because this was my holy grail facial SPF for so many years! I truly hope Peslo brings back their 100% physical sunscreen. Only then will I consider purchasing again. It is frustrating have to search for another physical sunscreen to call my holy grail now....
