The water faucet actually pumps water and the stove makes noises and lights up. All of the parts fit inside and it closes with the carry handle. Our grand daughter loves it and she is 2.

Overall, the kitchen is very cute and works well. It's a great size tor travel. The pieces will all store inside the basket itself. Sound and sink both work great.There were some minor flaws though that keep this from 5 star status. Nothing is necessarily a "deal breaker;" they're just flaws to be aware of. As others have pointed out, the portability is affected by two things: the rack for the utensils and the oven door. Flooding of the electrical components is also a potential problem.The utensil rack prevents the main lid from closing, so I just left it off. I don't mind taking the grill rack and faucet off before storing, as they're easy to disassemble. The utensil rack is much harder to take on and off.The oven door swings open too easily once it's properly installed. If you don't fully seat the bottom it sort of stays closed, but then leaves gaps for little fingers to get stuck. I found a little craft foam sticker placed in the bottom corner added enough tension to let it stay closed.Lastly, the electrical parts are not sealed against water. This makes up the "cooking" platform. Combined with the mini sink that can be used to sort-of fill the included pots (which have a hole in the bottom for safety), and water will easily drain into the electrical stuff. Less than a day after giving it to our kiddo, these effefts failed. The part was easily removed, drained, and dried, and it's working again.I would still buy again, and my kid loves it! It was a lifesaver on a recent trip when my kid wouldn't have access to their big kitchen. You just need to be aware of how to work around the flaws to get the best play experience from it.

This toy kitchen set really kept my daughter busy and gave her a lot of fun.Amazingly, the meat dishes like fish, sausage, steak and chicken can change color from their original to brown after being “cooked” on the “stove” of flashlight (the stove is not hot at all). This feature mimics the burning effect of grilled meat and fascinated my daughter. I have to pretend to eat all the dishes she cooked over and over again. After being put aside for a little while, the burning effect on the meat will disappear so that they can be cooked again. It is a genius idea that the toy can interact with the kids in an imagination game of cooking like adults. After we finish the meal, my daughter starts to wash the dishes using the “sink” of the kitchen that can hand pump real water, dry the dishes on the “dish drying rack” and organize her utensils. She enjoyed this game very much. This toy set significantly reduced her screen time on TV and Pad.I definitely give 5 stars and more if I could.

My son loves to cook! We were traveling and I needed something to keep him entertained while we set up for an event. This worked great for what we needed. It’s not super high quality but it did the job and he loved it. I really liked that all of the food and utensils were easily stored inside so it made it easy for travel. I ended up not putting batteries in it because the noises were kind of annoying and I didn’t want to listen to it lol. He still had a great time with it!

My 11 year old requested a play kitchen set for Christmas. She wanted something that she could use to play with her dolls but also was easy to clean up. I wanted something that did not take up a lot of space. She absolutely loves it and it'sthe perfect size....The sound and cook features works well and adds a little realistic type of feel to it. I love the fact that everything is stored together on the inside and takes up very little space. Great for the imagination.....

I bought it for my 4 years old daughter. She and her older siblings are playing with it. The items are small but it makes it for a good portable set. All the toys can be place inside of the basket/stove/microwave and store it after their use. The changing in color of chicken, sausage and meat when it was “cooked” is a nice feature.The only missing information is that the stove requires 3 AA batteries.

This will be my second time purchasing this portable kitchen. First time in pink and no wording it in blue. It has been used so much the sizzle mechanism on the stove no longer works. Some pieces are missing but she still uses it every time she is at our home. She asked for a new one for Christmas. I strongly endorse this purchase.
