I bought this for my nervous dog who hates having his nails cut with clippers. It is very quiet and simple to use. I got my dog used to the sound by turning it on but not actually touching his paws and giving him treats at the same time. Now, just a couple of weeks later he is happy to lie down and let me use it to file his nails. My dog had long thick nails but I've found this grinder gets the nail down quite quickly. As others have said, after a few seconds on one nail the nail will get hot so need to move on to the next. But I'm so pleased to have found this as it's taken the stress out of looking after dog's claws and is excellent value for money!

I received this product yesterday after ordering over weekend and was excited to test it. I cut my dog's quick when she was a puppy and since then she ran away whenever she saw nail scissors despite several attempts of desensitisation. To be honest I was worried about using those again in case I cut the quick again. So for a good few years I've been filing her nails which as you can imagine took absolute ages. I have been wondering about getting a Dremel for them (as recommended by nail maintenance groups on Facebook) however have been putting it off due to the price and not knowing if my dog would be ok with the sound, feeling etc. In the meantime I brought a "Dremel" from aldi to try, which was very loud and she wasn't keen on it (and then it burnt after using it for the second time on a DIY project). Anyway, I decided to try this product as it was quite cheap so if it wasn't a hit I wouldn't be too upset. Well, I've got to say I'm really impressed. Not only it arrived really quickly, it is good weight, quiet, not too big to hold and manouver around your dogs nails. I was able to do all of her back nails in a couple of minutes and she wasnt scared of it (could be due to previous attempts at desensitisation to the Aldi tool). So so far I am very impressed and wish I'd bought it sooner! I also saw a little cardinside of the box which said something about a lifetime warranty, but not read it fully yet (however sounds promising!). Anyway, I would definitely recommend - I think that it's a great little tool to use with some desensitisation and regular breaks to ensure it doesn't get too hot and scare your dog off!

Bought to do dog nail trim. It was to replace an expensive dremel that died. Doesn’t have the light the dremel had, but works well. It’s quiet, the options for speed help. Happy dogs

Our dog's claws had gotten so long the vet couldn't clip them without causing her pain. They recommended purchasing a grinder which we did and we're really happy with the results! The Casifor is much quieter than we thought it would be - a high pitched hum at most - and got the claws down to a decent length really quickly. Making sure you're grinding at the right angle (45 degrees) and using it on each claw for only a few seconds at a time to avoid discomfort is key. We did it daily for two or three days to get our dog's claws trimmed nicely down, rather than trying to do it all in one sitting. Didn't seem to cause any discomfort. I'm sure our dog would rather not have her claws ground down in this way, but stuffing her with treats whilst doing it I think she actually came to look forward to it! A great alternative and solution for dog nail trimming.

Great grinder, pretty quiet, and pretty easy to use, a bit awkward to hold, and the cutting wheel isn't that sharp so doesn't take much off, on the bright side though it makes it safer for any slips.No cutters included as per picture though 😓

I have two small dogs - a poodle x and a Klein Spitz, I've always used clippers, but our spitz puppy's nails are tiny and like needles! Also I caught the quick on my poodle x last time I groomed him which was a bit traumatic for us both. I bought this grinder with no expectations. I half thought the dogs would run a mile at anything buzzing around their feet, but it was the easiest, least traumatic nail session ever! Really quiet, easy to use and it didn't bother the dogs in the slightest. Can't believe I've spent years fighting with nail clippers when I could have had one of these! The grinder itself is a solid and quite weighty item, very quiet (did I already tell you that?) and well worth the expense. I expect to have them for many years.

This has been a game changer there was absolutely no way my dog would allow me to cut his nails with clippers I was considering having him sedated to get them cut, but thought I would give this a go first. It took a lot of patience and encouragement first I allowed him to properly investigate it and sniff it then I just turned it on when he was sitting beside me so he got used to the noise. I regularly touched his foot with it off. 3 days in I was allowed to grind 1 or 2 nails when he was relaxed I found you have to hold the nail you are grinding between the thumb and finger to reduce the vibration effect otherwise he pulls back we have managed to do 2 or 3 nails every night but he is becoming used to it now. He is a Maremma x and his nails are large and thick the grinding head copes fine and does the job fine. I would recommend but slow and steady does the job.

Wir schleifen meist auf mittlerer Stufe, mit der Zeit kann die Stufe erhöht werden, dann ist man schneller. Das Gro nehme ich mit einer Krallenschere ab, und der Rest wird geschliffen. Kein Blut mehr, super 👍Die Krallenschere im Set kann man sich sparen. Zuerst fand ich sie super, weil sie groß ist, leicht, scharf und einfach für kleine Hände zu bedienen. Allerdings ist sie nach zwei Mal benutzen direkt stumpf, also nicht zu gebrauchen.Aber der Schleifer ist top. Er ist schön leise (je nach Intensität), sehr handlich und durch das Drehrad gut zu bedienen. Die Kappen stören uns nur, aber schön sie zu haben.Schön wäre es, wenn man die Drehrichtung ändern könnte, so hakt es leider wenn ich die linke Seite der Kralle schleife (Rechtshänder). Aber das ist vllt auch nur Übungssache. Einfacher wäre es, wenn man umstellen könnte.Bisher hält der Akku sehr gut, ich kann mehrfach intensiv schleifen, ohne dass die Leistung nach lässt.Insgesamt alles andere als ein Billiggerät, was man bei dem günstigsten Preis vermuten könnte. Absolut zu empfehlen!
