Dangerous!
My son wanted this because he is into martial arts and thought it would be good to practice with. We tried it twice and I threw it out immediately! Once it pops out to staff length, it is very difficult to get back into the small, hand-size and it is extremely sharp! The metal is very thin and the edges are knife-life sharp. I helped him wind it back into the original size and cut myself. I'm glad it happened to me and not him. Quality is terrible and way too dangerous for any age!

Good for one time emergency use
Great to have for emergency but a real problem once deployed because it doesn’t easily compress back to compact size snd you risk cutting yourself on sharp metal edge
