The best true story I've read. I'm glad that Mary's dad finally shared this gripping story with her. His courage led to the troops finding the death camps. Because he followed the urging of the Holy Spirit, our troops also found the scientific knowledge that ended the war and took us into outer space. I recommend this book everyone who loves a heartwarming and true story.

Mary Nahas' well written--and well documented--account of a private who slightly changed the course of WWII and significantly changed the course of the post war world because he followed a hunch is both history and drama. Remarkably, the private, who was already respected for his hunches, went AWOL to follow this one. The true story is more memorable than the mass of fiction that followed this difficult time in modern history.

A must read for every American, especially those who think that one person cannot make a difference. This book helped me see the big picture and the part my father's sacrifice played in insuring a better future for me than if he had not gone off to war. Lorraine Harmanos

I particularly enjoyed how Private Galione's life was seemingly guided by God. The book is a good history lesson and I learned a lot. Reading about a man's life puts history in a perspective that is more meaningful and easier to grasp for me.

I just recently found out about this man and this book. It's a GREAT READ!!
