Clay Pigeons [DVD]

Rented this movie because I used to watch it in my teen years. Loved it just as much now as back then.

I paid attention. And in the end still felt like WTF I’m kinda hanging. It has good actors, a good story line, director… maybe I just need to watch it again.

Good movie to watch on a rainy day or rainy night

I had never heard of this movie before and just took a chance on it. One of those twisting plots that make you wonder right up to the end. Definitely worth a view!

Received DVD from seller in great condition. This movie is strange. . but great acting by all. Loved the ending.

Love love love this movie. A classic that no one seems to know about. No one wants to watch it but when I play it at home for company, they won't leave until it is over and some want to watch it again. It is really really good. Of course, the cast has many of my favorites. You won't be sorry if you buy it.

Dark comedy worth seeing for sure! It had been a minute, but it was just as good as I remembered

you will most probably enjoy this a great deal. It's much more light hearted and easier to watch than no country for old men. Vince Vaughn is brilliant, and much youger looking than you'd expect these days. He shows his pleasure in his sadistic ways in a way that lets you grow cold to this rather handsome american in the stetson (why is that not gay in this movie?) The actor that plays Clay goes on to do Big Fish, but, even though thatis a better film, he is much better in this. I watched it without any expectations, and was genuinley surprised by the twists, despite the first 20 mins being so outrageous. I suppose this review will make me soud naeive about these kind of movies. It was a learning experience and has let me enjoy a lot more genres since (not bad as i'm now 40). So, if you want a Cohen bros film with an ending that makes some sense, Clay Pigeons is IT.

Die ganze Geschichte spielt in einer Kleinstadt in Montana.Der etwas trottelige Clay Bidwell, genial gespielt von Joaquin Phoenix, stolpert von einer Leiche zur Nächste. Durch widrige Umstände wird er bald vom FBI für einen Serienkiller gehalten.Die Rollen sind optimal besetzt, man fühlt die ganze Zeit mit dem armen Clay mit und langweilt sich keine Minute. Die Countrymusik untermalt noch die komödiantische Seite dieses wunderbar schwarzen Alptraums.

The soundtrack is excellent, too bad it didn't get a better version on this disc.Cheers!

It was funny to see both Joaquin and Vince so young! Really good film and pretty funny.

Der Film war ganz unterhaltsam. Teilweise wurde von uns beim Schauen über die Logik des Plots gerätselt. Der schwierige engl. Akzent war teilweise nur durch Untertitel zu verstehen. Wer aber Vaughn und Phoenix mag ist gut aufgehoben. DVD ohne deutsche Tonspur.
