Kutsuwa STAD Shitajiki B5 Size VS010CL Clear

I slip these in my art journals because I tend toward watersolubles. The helps me protect below pages. Don't over-wet as these aren't absorbent.

I recommend using Shitajiki for all children who write in notebooks starting first grade! Help them being neat :)

I love this- it definitely helps my writing and feels firm underneath pages. I wish they sold this exact one in an A5 size, because the one I have right now is super flimsy, and this one is absolutely more firm and a tiny bit thicker. I'm considering buying and cutting it down myself. Highly recommended.

I write in pencil for my math courses and this saves my notes from being imprinted to the previous pages. I wish there was a bigger option but, this one still gets the job done!

Is very useful when you use pilots ! Is a little smaller than a letter size paper. But works really good !!

This does save my pages from bleeding through to the next design, as well as divots due to pressure left by a pen or pencil. I was hoping for a little cushion, instead it is a solid plastic sheet.

Many years ago I learned that pencil boards were very popular in Japan and I had never understood why. After using pencil boards for several years now, I'll tell you why, because they keep your notes SO much neater looking. Pencil boards prevent the pesky page indents from your pen pressure and create a smoother writing experience. It also protects your paper from getting smudged from pencil and pen marks as you write. If you're a neat freak who hates the page indents and smudges or someone who travels and needs a sturdier writing surface, definitely give a pencil board a try! This pencil board is your very standard one where the surface is completely hard. There are softer board options, but this one is a great beginner one to try. Keep in mind the B5 size is smaller than standard US paper, but I use this board with my Kokuyo soft ring B5 notebook. These two combined create an amazing writing force!

Japanese “shita-jiki” are indispensable to me. I use them underneath the pages I’m writing on to avoid indenting the pages below. Especially useful if I am designing or drafting shapes. This B5 size (Japanese paper size) is working perfectly for American standard 8.5”x11” spiral notebooks and loose leaf paper for me. It’s big enough to reach the margin but small enough so the edges aren’t overflowing off the page on all sides, such as A4 size, thereby making it awkward to use and/awkward to store and transport with your notebooks. Perfectly crystal clear. Heavy duty plastic. Obviously don’t leave it in the sun or expose it to elements long term since it’s plastic. I carry mine with my notebooks, I purchased 2.
