From accidental purchase to staple item - seriously!
II was actually looking for sprouting seeds when I purchased this bag by accident. I saved it to my shopping cart intending to get seeds that specifically guaranteed they sprouted. I added another item and checked out without paying careful attention. One of the best shopping mistakes I’ve ever made. Yes, these seeds do sprout! But I've been using them in my popcorn and soliciting their help in saving some of my lackluster pre-made mustards, etc. I'm snacking on them when I'm reaching for them to use in something else. And of course, now I'm delving down the road of mustard making. Yes, I am the type of person to subscribe to a newsletter about mustard products, but I think the less enthusiastic mustard aficionado will still find an immense value in this purchase. I'm so sure I will be buying this product again that I permanently labeled a container for the bag so that it will now forever more be part of my always on hand dry goods like flour, sugar, elbow macaroni and dried black beans. The seeds are amazingly fresh, the bag does reseal, but as I've never known a ziplock bag to hold well against 5lbs of pressure, I chip clipped it for added reassurance. I keep a smaller container of seeds with my spices, but I keep having to refill that sucker. Even now, I'm thinking I'll throw some on my popcorn before bed!For those wondering if you can snack on them, yes you can and yes they are spicy. However, it's not at all like eating a habanero. You won't be rushing for water. Instead, it will almost taste sort of nutty and then beat...beat... KICK. I don't go over medium with my hot wings and the kick is perfect for me. Hope that helps!

Not Sproutable, Description is Wrong!
I bought these to use to grow microgreens. The description says that they are sproutable so they should sprout. I tried 5 different methods to sprout these seeds and none of them worked. Mustard is supposed to be one of these easiest microgreens to grow, according to several professionals. These seeds were a total waste of money and a great frustration to try to grow.

Arrived exactly s advertised.
Was purchased to make my own mustard. Experimenting with recipes now. This mustard is exactly what it says. Came in a heavy duty bag, with a good seal. Important because it will take a while to use 10 lbs. However, price was only twice the price of the one pound size.Flavor is the same as store bought powdered mustard. I grind it with a coffee\spice mill and it works perfectly.

Not as hot as Brassica juncea, the brown/Oriental/Chinese mustard
These Sinapis alba seeds (white/yellow mustard seeds) are easier to eat than the 2 hotter mustard seed species (Brassica juncea and Brassica negra). Simply soak these white/yellow mustard seeds in water for at least 30 minutes, then eat these extremely healthy mustard seeds moderately hot.

Good quantity and quality to my pickles
Buying a larger quantity like this is so much less expensive. I made a couple batches of pickles which require mustard seed for flavor - those small jars from the grocery are too expensive for this project, so I was very happy to find this.

Spicy
I make mustard fish sauce, and fresh mustard seed is REALLY delicious. Also, fresh mustard is spicy in a horseradish sort of way. If you want yellow mustard flavor go buy "French's". This is not that flavor, it is more like a dijon, but SPICEY. Maybe even extra spicey. It makes salmon taste great again. I gave it 5 stars because 6 are not available.

This pack will last a while
I use them in brine and other cooking applications. Sometimes ground; other times whole. I try to keep them on hand because I never know when a recipe or another cooking job will require them. I could not find anything to complain about with these seeds.

Plastic packaging
Please change the plastic packaging for this product. Thank you so much. Besides that it would have been a great experience.

Missing allergen information
This was easier to use because of the larger seeds but I would not order again because it is missing information. Celiac sufferers need this information to make appropriate choices. This seed is larger so I am still using it.

Microgreen seeds
Bought these for sprouting micro greens. A few other reviewers said they had poor germination results with these, although I found they germinated fantastically. I didnt actually count, but would estimate 95% or more of the seeds germinated. They also work well to use as an ingredient in cooking prior to sprouting.

Great organic product of Canada
Grinding seeds in the vitamix in order to make powder to sprinkle on foods. Trying to increase the sulforaphane intake via the mustard seeds in addition to cruciferous vegetables.
