Small plant, but it seems healthy. Have put in bigger pot. Will transfer to garden when larger.

A clematis that should come with a warning
When we lived in southeast England, with a good climate and excellent soil, our veteran gardening neighbours warned against planting this, as it takes over all space in no time. Now we are in a cold, windy, clay soil area, not helped by the rubble and cheap topsoil bequeathed us by the builders, I gave it a go . It started thriving within weeks. I have high hopes.

I bought three clematis montana. They arrived on time, in excellent condition well supported in plastic packaging.

Lots smaller than expected
I really hope its a quick grower, I couldn't find any in our local centres of this particular clematis, so did pay I think too much considering the size.However, it was well packaged and not dried out, so will use this seller again.
