I have a lot of Tanner Hoods products and am a loyal customer since the early 2000’s. I only decided to purchase my Journeyman on Amazon since I had some credit remaining here. The Cognac version I got was decent and your standard construction generally seen from Tanner Goods. However, the Natural version of the Journeyman looked like it was it was either a sample, or a poorly constructed one. Maybe Tanner Goods sends their B-Grade constructed products to Amazon to sell to avoid selling this directly from their website. Usually I only purchase directly from Tanner Goods site, but pretty disappointed in the construction on my Natural Journeyman. Basically the stitching wasn’t even and the back of it looks like the stitching was too close to the edge, with some excess glue still on the edges.Overall, not satisfied with the construction of my Journeyman.

My last Tanner wallet lasted a good decade plus and it still had plenty of years left. User error (yeah, I lost it) is the only reason I’m replacing it. Beautifully made and I’m sure I’ll get another 10+ years out of this one. Can’t wait to see how the natural leather ages.

Let's say my house catches fire at 3 a.m. after I've become unrecognizably intoxicated and try to heat up foil-wrapped brisket in the microwave. The fire quickly engulfs my IKEA cabinets while I lie passed out drooling on the floor. Suddenly one of my many children runs downstairs yelling about smoke or something, disturbing my sweet dreams about Vanna White gracefully flipping letters. I snap to life in less than a second and begin evacuating the house of wives, pets, and thirdly, my Tanner Goods wallet. I suspect with it's inherent magical powers it could easily withstand a blazing inferno, but it has my Smash Burger gift certificate inside worth more than my 401k at the moment.This is how awesome this wallet is. I'd even save it before the hamster, who has it coming anyway.I am compelled to let you know that many years ago, I was gifted a Tanner Goods belt. My children will bury me in this belt as per my death demands.Leather goods are wonderful, but Tanner has harnessed exactly why animals were put on this earth by aliens all those years ago. For Tanner and only Tanner truly knows how to harness the durability of their hearty skin and craft it into such time-tested works of art.Highly recommend.

The build quality is solid. It's rugged as a wallet can get. However, this comes at the cost of thickness. There's an individual pocket for each of four cards, plus the cash pocket, so that's 6 layers of thick genuine leather. And, at least until I've broken it in further, this leads to every pocket being excessively tight. I practically need pliers to pull a card out. Some slim/minimalist wallets advertise 4 cards but can fit 6; this wallet can just barely fit 4... if you use force.Worst of all however is that dollar bills folded in half don't fit in the main pocket. The cash ends up partially sticking out.

I was in the market for a slim, minimal wallet and after seeing the video of the production process of Tanner Goods, I was sold. This wallet has an amazing build quality and is incredibly compact and light. I hold 4 cards (one in each slot) - but it really does take some time to break in. Once it does, it's fantastic. Leather is high quality and I look forward to keeping it for many years and watching it age over time.

The media could not be loaded.  This wallet is of premium quality materials and craftsmanship. It has a minimalistic design that easily slides into my front pocket, laying flat without unnecessary bulk. I am especially excited to have this in natural leather. I like the idea that my wallet will naturally tan over the years. The precise stitching and durable weight of the natural leather will undoubtedly make this product only get better with age. For an item I carry on me every day, this wallet is a luxury to have. I would highly recommend it.

I've been looking for a smaller wallet that would hold just a few cards, ID and some cash in my front pocket. This wallet is very high quality, the leather is really soft and smooth, no imperfections. The stitching looks good. The cards fit snugly but not too tight, just right. It's hard to find a good quality wallet these days, but this one is perfect for what I wanted. Bonus for me: It's made in the USA. That's worth the price as far as I'm concerned.

If you spend over £85 for a card holder you should expect something special, we’ll this was a great disappointment from the moment I opened the padded envelope. The card holder was simply stuffed in a little zip-seal bag giving no sense that the manufacturer valued the product or valued their customer. This is in stark contrast to the quality of the company’s web site and marketing material.The brand logo did not match that on the website, omitting the words “made in USA”.The leather didn’t feel like it was good quality and the colour seemed thin and just off shade.The stitching was off with machine marks on the leather.The leather edge finishing and burnishing wasn’t particularly good.Very disappointing all round to the point of suspecting this to be a counterfeit product.I returned it and would not recommend it.
