They may not look like much, but they can save your shoes and money by not having to buy shoes so often. In my shoes, I pulled the heal up of the original insole enough to slip the wedge underneath, which helps keed them in place as they have no adhesive. You can also glue them in place with various adhesives too.These are a way to salvage many of the less expensive shoes and boots too as often these have a "waffled" side that gets sewn or bonded to the rest of the shoe or boot ("uppers"), and these waffles will flatten over time leading to leg pain and/or back pain. These wedges are ideal for getting more life out of the shoe or boot. The description indicates they can compensate for your legs being slightly different lengths (Which I understand is most people, and most have no idea of this or by how much.).So if you have issues with sore ankles, legs, and even your back and you suspect this might be the case, you should check with a Chiropractor, Orthopedist, or Doctor first to find out whether the 5mm or the 9mm would be the way to go for you.Though if you choose to try putting one in your shoes by your own decision just to see if it corrects the pain and you know or suspect which leg is a little shorter, since the wedges are not "left or right", one pair would do 2 shoes. I am in no way suggesting any diagnosies of anything, just outlining what I have done myself for purposes of information.

Very affordable heel lifts

The inserts seems very sturdy but a little thinner that I expected. I ended gluing two together to give me the hight I need. Will see how they will hold up over time
