Sulfate-Free Cleansing Conditioner Cowash: Safe for Keratin-Treated, Colored, Curly, Dry, or Damaged Hair

This is amazing stuff! I had never heard of such a product that would wash and condition at the same time. However, my waist-length hair seemed to be shedding a lot. It was also looking rather dried out. Upon researching this problem, I found that sulfates are a culprit. Besides, they are not good for us when they are absorbed through the skin, which is what happens in shampooing.After the first use, I was not sure what to expect. I followed the directions carefully, making sure that I thoroughly saturated my hair, and added enough water during the process to disperse the product evenly through my hair. When I combed it after rinsing and towel drying, I could already feel the difference! And after my hair dried, I could not believe the difference from how my hair normally is after shampooing! This one-step process made my hair feel so soft, and it added a lot of shine to my hair, too! It felt conditioned and nourished, not dried out. After two uses, it already looks so much better! It even tamed some of the frizzies!Yes, this is an expensive product. However, this is used instead of conditioner AND shampoo. In addition, I didn't have to use a lot. It spread through my hair easily, as long as I used sufficient water. And I usually use so much conditioner, just to make up for the drying effects of the shampoo! Besides, can we put a price on our health?The best part is how clean and fresh my hair feels! I was not sure if it would feel truly clean after this process. But it felt cleaner than ever. I am sure that the fresh minty scent helped, though, too. And the lovely scent lingers all day.I love this product!

I was perplexed when this "natural" product came with a long list of chemical-sounding ingredients which I had to look up, but I decided to try it anyway, because it's American made, and my hair was fried. (I'd had perfectly healthy, naturally grey and curly hair, but used a "temporary pink shampoo" that turned into a permanent orange nightmare. $200+, Chemical color remover & some bleach later, my hair is DYED close to my former grey... but I now need to treat it very carefully.)BUT... This cleansing conditioner is a good product, whatever's in it, and it's excellent for my hair now. Because of the damage, I could use this 3X in a row and not have the build-up problem they mentioned - they say you'll need a clarifying shampoo sometimes, and that may be true when my damaged hair is grown out.This stuff leaves my hair easier to comb through, and the roots are not weighed down or greasy. It's got a silky slick feel to it, and the mint scent is delicate and not fake-smelling at all.Very good product! I wish it weren't quite so pricey, but I figure if it's actually made in the U.S.A. then there is a good reason for it.CAME BACK TO ADD THIS TO MY REVIEW: SHAVE WITH IT! It's got such a silky feel I decided to try it for shaving my legs and it is AMAZING. I think even for a guy the mint would be pleasant, and a bottle would last a really long time, leaves skin so soft! If it's safe enough for my hair, I figured it's safe enough for my skin. NO irritation whatsoever and I have very sensitive skin. :o)

I wash my thick, dry hair only about once a week. It's great when my washing-hair routine fits into my going out, gotta look great schedule, but sometimes I have to wash my hair when I don't want to, like, this week, when my hair just needed a wash, and I will have to wash it again PRIOR to it REALLY needing washing, because my mother's birthday celebration is in two days, and normally I can go 4 days in between - so I'll be washing it after only 2-3 days, so it's fluffy and looks just washed. THAT'S the time this cowash works best, when you're washing not-so-oily hair, right? Everyone agree? You can't really use it when your hair's in dire need of a wash, I think you need to use your regular GO TO shampoo and conditioner then.... but when summer rolls around and I'm out running, and showering, and washing my hair just because I got sweaty scalp, then this will really come in handy - hairy, ha. The only thing is, it's SO THICK, man! There's no way I can squeeze it out of the bottle through it's cover - I have to take the bottle and squeeze the bottle really hard, and it comes out, finally (keeping the bottle upside down in the shower aids magnificently in this task) in a big long thick tube - def have to add additional shower water to the stuff you put in your hair, too, to help distribute the thick stuff. I like it when I need it.

I just received my Mint Cleansing Conditioner Cowash yesterday. Let me begin by explaining that I have a lot of cosmetic and hair shampoo sensitivities. I have suffered from dermatitis and other cronic problems over the years and it is RARE to find a product I can use that also benefits my hair. For years I used Llanza Remedy which worked very well until my skin changed and it became too drying. Of late I have used Aveda Scalp Benefits and it seems to calm my scalp and works pretty well, but the shampoo is a bit drying and it is very expensive. I also started to alternate the Aveda Cowash with the Scalp Benefits to give my scalp more moisture. When I saw your product I got very excited, as it is reasonably priced and looked like it would be a good alternative to the Aveda Cowash. (also very expensive)I have only used it for the first time this morning, but already I like it even better than the Aveda Cowash! The mint helps calm my scalp, there are no perfumes, sulfates and other ingredients to cause reactions, and it made my hair feel wonderful. I have long tinted hair and I was able to comb out tangles without all the breakage! Thank you for this great product! I intend to keep using it and hope you will have it available when I run out. I am very happy with my purchase. For me a good non-irritating hair product is like GOLD!
