Slightly Hot For Those From Eastern US But Good Flavor
Review of Flavor Seed - Did Someone Say Chipotle Organic Fajita and Taco Seasoning Mix Bulk|Keto, Paleo, Whole 30 approved, Non-GMO, Gluten Free, No Fillers|Better than McCormick (2.7 oz Glass Jar)There is something unusual about the label – if your hands or fingers are wet then the label of the bottle sticks.Using the ratios in their label as posted on the Amazon product page the contents of one jar will last for about 4.8 pounds of meat for tacos (96 servings times ¼ teaspoons per serving divided by 5 teaspoons per pound of taco meat). The instructions for fajitas do not have a suggested volume per pound of meat. One suggestion would be to use for tacos first to first be familiar with the taste for a known ratio. For tacos I found this to be slightly hot. I intentionally had some left overs and felt the flavor improved with a day or so of refrigeration. Also tried this with some chicken fajitas and it will take a while to tweak how much of the ground spice mix to include. The instructions are not formatted very well so wasn’t sure about adding water but was using two lime cubes anyway. I buy limes when on sale and then juice them and have some cheap ice cube trays to use to freeze and store this in plastic containers to use as needed. Each is about 1.5 tablespoons. I also do this for lemons and sometimes oranges. This is a product that is nice to have on hand for a change.

Excellent rich, flavorful seasoning; enhances taste of meals. Pleasant, strong chili & cumin aroma.
This Chipotle Fajita seasoning comes in a 2.7-oz glass bottle with an inner seal. The green color lid has 2 openings. One half of the lid has 3 holes to dispense this seasoning. The other half has a half-moon shape for dispensing larger quantities.I measure this compact bottle to be 4-1/8 inches tall x 6-inches diameter. This is a flavorful, pleasant seasoning, with strong chili and cumin aroma, with the scent hitting me right when I held the bottle to my nose. I like it!This seasoning is somewhat hot (but, I really like my foods spicy, so my sense of hotness will differ). We use this seasoning on a number of our dishes to enhance the taste of beef, chicken, pork, etc.The first ingredient listed is salt; so this seasoning contains a larger amount of salt than other ingredients (such as organic onion/garlic/cumin/chipotle powder/ancho chile, etc).In the past, our family had bottles of garlic powder, chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, etc., as part of our seasonings for some of our meals. It made our meals delicious! Then, we transitioned to buying an all-in-one seasoning product by brands like this Did Someone Say Chipotle. This Chipotle Fajita Seasoning makes our meals as flavorful as did all those spice bottles. I love the high quality organic ingredients, in addition to it being Gluten-free, GMO-free, certified USDA organic.Lastly, expiration date is on bottom of bottle. Mine expires 4/30/2022.

Chipotle Eclipsed by Ancho Chiles Profile
In both the sweet heat of Mexican Chocolate and the dark earthiness of Mole Sauce, I love the Hispanic tradition of counterpointing chocolate with spice. When I saw Organic Cocoa Powder as the second ingredient listed here -- behind salt, but before the spices and chiles -- I hoped this seasoning might evoke those complex tastes.Unfortunately, a deep chocolate profile just isn't here, as the cocoa is overwhelmed by the spice mix. Similarly, my palate was hoping for more smokey intensity from the chipotle, but it never fully surfaced. Perhaps that's because chipotle places a distant seventh on the ingredients list, and behind ancho chiles, which feature prominently. This is a good but more middle-of-the-road taco/fajitas seasoning than the marketing hints at.Kudos to Flavor Seed for assembling it from organic ingredients. But the taste could aspire to more. - (Was this review of use? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!)

Packs a little heat with great flavor
I like a taco and fajita seasonings that have some heat, but the most important thing is flavor. I've had some overwhelmingly hot seasoning that really didn't taste that great. I'll take flavor over heat any time! With the FLAVOR SEED - Did Someone Say Chipotle Organic Fajita and Taco Seasoning Mix, you get both - some heat and lots of flavor! It really has a nice blend of salt, cocoa, herbs and seasonings that makes you want to go back for a second serving. The directions say to use 5 teaspoons of the mix and a half cup of water to 1 pound of ground beef. I suggest adding to taste - a little more or a little less for preference. As for fajitas, the directions say to use liberally - so basically add to taste. This is a very tasty taco mix that is organic, so you can feel good you are using the best ingredients you can get. Put that old supermarket seasoning envelope aside and treat yourself to something flavorful and different. Your taste buds will thank you.

Great flavor as a rub or marinade
I love making fajitas, but since moving to the east coast my favorite marinade can only be ordered online and it's $$$$ to get it here. This is a pretty good sub for it. I tried adding it to water and using as a marinade (I added 4 tsps to water as recommended on the jar for tacos), and I used it as a rub. It's great as a rub, with just the right amount of spice (without being overwhelming). It was a bit meh as a marinade; it needed acid, so I added some AC vinegar and a bit of liquid smoke-- YUM! The best combo for us was a good 4 hours in the marinade, followed by a nice sprinkle on both sides of the meat prior to grilling. I used skirt steak cooked medium rare because...fajitas😁. They were perfectly juicy, perfectly spicy, and delicious. If you don't like much spice I would just use it as a marinade, but definitely add some acid.I have also put this on beans, and it was yummy. It's a good, fresh-tasting, basic southwest seasoning, with cumin, coriander, chile powders (jalapeño and chipotle), etc. I will definitely finish this jar and, if I'm still in DC when it's gone, I will probably reorder.
