Save your money and buy another brand
Beans were not as fresh as other brands that I’ve gotten at the store. For the price, I would’ve expected them to cook up normally but instead they were still somewhat dry and hard. So much so that they required extra liquid and cooking time to get them to a consistent level to eat (ie they cooked unevenely in instapot).

These beans are too expensive but they are very tasty!
These beans are too expensive but they are very tasty! Not sure how long we can afford to buy them, but they are better than any Peruanos we've had in the past. They are addictive.

Great beans
I love these beans. They are usually clean and “tender/young” as my mom says. We’re Mexican and eat lots of beans. It’s hard to find organic peruano beans so this heirloom ones will do.

The best
Simply the best quality of beans.

These beans are inedible. Hard as rocks.
We use vast amounts of beans, including canary (mayacoba or peruano) beans. They are usually marvelous. BUT these beans are OLD. As is typical of old beans, they will not soften. They were soaked for 24 hours and pressure cooked for 25 minutes. TWICE! We bought FOUR POUNDS. Very expensive as well. Next time we will buy from RANCHO GORDO.
