People naturally trust others who have a high moral character...
According to the author, persuasive people are original, generous, empathetic, and soulful. The author gives specific steps and habits that will naturally cause you to be the kind of person that others trust. Focusing on developing your character, the information in this book is intended to help you be more persuasive, more likable, and an overall better person. Even though I agree with the concepts in this book, I do not think it would be valuable for someone who was looking to this book to help them immediately improve their persuasive skills (whether in a selling career or just in their general life). I would recommend looking for a different book that gives one specific strategies to help them, rather than this book (which basically states the if you have a high moral character, people will be more trusting in you). Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much!

Read this if you want to learn the importance and the tools of persuasion
I've always admired Mekanism's work in the marketing and advertising worlds, so I was excited to check out this book from its CEO. It wasn't what I expected, in the best way possible. It was insightful and irreverent and actually really helpful. It got me thinking about persuasion in ways I hadn't before, and I've already started to use them in my day to day life in ways that are proving very effective. I think anyone could get a lot out of this book no matter what you do for a living or where you are in life. And even better, its a fast easy read with a cover that looks good on a bookshelf.

Success redefined for our time.
Like Dale Carnegie did nearly a century ago, Jason Harris has managed to transform the way we think about success. While both writers stress the importance of self knowledge, Harris places authenticity at the center of it all. His four principles of action: to be original, generous, empathetic and soulful, expand the core idea. In effect The author is calling on readers to think more deeply and to act more honorably.A refreshing message for all of us in this ethically challenged and troubled time.

Doesn't Follow His Own Advice
According to Harris there are four things needed for Soulful Persuasion: Be Original, Be Generous, Be Empathetic, Be Soulful. He wants us to be honest. That is VERY important. If we have something to say, we should say it. He should then just say, "Readers, my worldview is that liberal views are superior and anyone who supports Trump is a dolt." Now, this is NOT an overtly political book - so why bring in politics at all? He calls out Trump several times and praises Biden and Obama. Now, here is where he flops on Empathy. Does it occur to him that half his potential readers may like Trump? Apparently not. Does he not read his own words about people spotting fakes and phoneys? Don't be Jason on empathy, because if you are, you will end up turning off half the people you are trying to be "honest" with and connect. A better approach would have been to write the book, then edit out all references to politics.

This book will change your life if you let it.
This book is a remarkable marriage of inspirational and accessible, philosophical and pragmatic, wisdom and humility. This book digs deep into the work of authentically building character, invites the reader to engage in meaningful self-examination and offers practical, achievable ways to effect change in your work and your life. I came away from it genuinely inspired and energized. So, to borrow from Jason's advice in the GENEROUS chapter -- I recommend you buy 2 copies and give one away to someone you love.

Be inspired by taking action
This book has become another tool in my toolbox of improving my life and being a better person. The 4 principles and 11 habits can be applied to everyone and by everyone. My favorite section was the soulful principle and specifically the personal Jesus chapter. This book is not just for the person who wants to do well in business; it is for the person who wants to do well in life.

Fun, Educational & On Point! ππΌππΌ
This book is on point, and the coolest part is it comes from actual experience. Jason speaks from the heart about what it takes today in being a great networker, business-professional and human.I thoroughly enjoyed the visuals that should be infographics in all MBA programs. Best part is the book is a fun read and something you can come back too again and again for guidance.

Excellent advice / Great read
This book was well worth the time and money. I heard Jason on the Aubrey Marcus podcast and knew instantly he was legit. Jason comes from an honest and sincere place and his advice is solid and soulful. He runs an amazing, high-level ad agency and has tons of big brand clients but in contrast to popular myths of ad men his work and message come from the heart. This book is very inspirational and insightful.

Well written but tasteless
I regret buying this book and actually having read it until the end. I find this book well written, but how can I say... have I learned anything new? or was there anything inspiring in it? No.While it is well written, I found the ideas "plain butter" and actually nothing new if from the beginning you share the same values as the author of this book argues for (in a sense summarized as be yourself, don't fake it, be nice to people). Disappointing !
