Cabinet Locks and Drawer Locks from A4B-Magnetic No Tools Or Screws Needed

These are great! I went ahead and ordered them worried that because of the price, they would suck in quality. Well, they work just as well as the more expensive ones. The reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 is because unlike the Munchkin ones, these do not provide the easy installation guide (its a sticky paper guide that you stick on one side, shut the door and it marks where the other side with go. Also, 1/8 locks will get stuck in the unlocked position like the hook is a little bit too wide and is stuck in the holder. This doesn't really create a huge problem since I just placed this one on a cabinet I don't usually use. It will get unlocked with a little jiggling and it was only 1, not all of them. These do come with 2 keys with key placements. I love the key placements since they look nice and keep a designated area for the key to go (helps reducing lost keys). They are magnets with a simple circle design that has the sticky side on back. I placed one in each of the rooms I have locks, and they do not look out of place or tacky. Also, these have an unlock feature. There is a lever that you switch, and this will hold the hook in the unlock position. This is a nice feature for when I am constantly moving in and out of the same cabinets. Also, I tried (just to experiment) unlocking the cabinet without a key just in case I ever lose both keys. I was successful in unlocking with a thin crochet hook by engaging the lever- took some time but still doable. These magnets are strong enough to go through at least an inch of wood (the thickest I have) This is nice if you have real wood cabinets. Finally the adhesive is strong. I worried my children would be able to pull the cabinets open since these are not screw in locks; however, I can not pull these off with decent force. If I could do 4 and 3/4 stars, I would. And I will be purchasing more of these to hand out for presents.

I am very satisfied with this product. I wanted some locks that did not require me to drill into my cabinets and liked that these use stick on hardware. I have several grandchildren that visit frequently. When they are at my house I want to be able to lock some of my cabinets, but when they aren't around, I want the cabinets to be unlocked. With these locks, there is a switch that you can easily move that allow them to be in an unlocked position. It takes me just a minute or so to go around and either lock or unlock them. I have received two sets of these locks. With the first set, using the video demonstration to install them, I was not able to place them on some of my cabinets because of their design. Also, on the first two locks I installed, I had problems getting them into the right position so that they would latch correctly. Part of the problem was the video didn't make it clear where exactly each piece should be placed. However, with the locks that I did place correctly, they work fabulously.With the newest set they have replaced the videos with two new videos and there are two different types of hardware that can be used. The new videos clearly show where to place the the locks. They show the measurements in millimeters how far from the edge to place the hardware. This would have been helpful when I installed my first set. Also in the new videos, it gives different placement options for different types of cabinets and drawers. I will be able to place these locks on some of my other cabinets using alternate the other placement options.Overall, I am very pleased with these locks. If written directions were available, I would give it 5 stars instead of 4.

The description is a little misleading, IMO. Will not work with dressers where drawers are attached at the side and there is no full sheet of wood between the drawers. Will only work on top cabinet drawers or dresser drawers where there is a solid sheet of wood between each drawer. Check the web site and you'll see how they attach and only demonstrate this item working with a top cabinet drawer.

They work quite well.The hard part is getting them aligned. The catch can be mounted in several orientations but even at this some places required a backer block to be installed. I doubt you can find anything that works everywhere. I did find that if you place them but do not press them in you can test and move easily. I purchased 3 boxes and have installed 2 full boxes.I would have given this product a 5 but 1 unit from each 8 unit box is defective. They stick in the unlocked position. also no instructions are included. Each box comes with 2 keys but if you are doing a large area order extra keys.

I love them. They are super easy to install and don't leave a mess in case you decide to pull them off. However,(1) i had 2 that get stuck sometimes and don't respond well to the magnet...(2) they didn't fit on my custom made bed side tables and a dresser.. They are too long to go vertically and don't reach the side horizontally.. So i had to get the ugly straps that go on the outside..

Horrible product. The locks are hit or miss whether they will work or not. You install some and they work flawlessly and others are sticky so that they don't work at all. Then you have to forcibly pry the cabinet open and now the lock that doesn't work is useless and you are left with adhesive residue. A huge pain in the butt and not worth the hassle or the money. Avoid!
