Weight can be a factor for travel purposesSummaryI bought this for overseas travel where some of the hotels don't have in-room safes (or if they do, many are not bolted down and are easily removable, which renders them relatively worthless and pointless). With the included foam pads removed, the XX-Large box will easily fit 2 iPads with room to spare for car keys, etc. The cable is pretty tough looking and long enough to wrap it around and secure it without too much difficulty. The metal is pretty thick and strong. Once closed and locked, the box doesn't offer up too many weakpoints that can be exploited for prying it open.While by no means would I expect this to be impenetrable, it does offer enough to be an effective deterrent. Most thefts that would occur in a hotel is likely a quick scan-and-grab and something like this would look secure enough that the opportunistic thief will just move on. However, there are two main downsides to this lockbox. One is the 3 digit lock, which only offers 1000 combinations. I was able to go through and try all the combinations in about 20-25 minutes starting at 000 and going to 999. Unfortunately, because I set my combination at 223, I got the combination in about 4 minutes into my combination guess process. Second, the cable is tough but at only a quarter inch thick, of which some of it is the rubber coating, it could probably be easily cut.One last thing, is that for purposes of travelling and putting the box in your check luggage, the box is heavy. Its just a few ounces shy of 6 pounds. I had to remove a lot of clothes to accommodate the weight of this box. Also, I found the best way to avoid TSA messing with my luggage was to pack this lockbox in the open position with the lid fully open (the lid opens 180 degrees).

Bought this lock box to safely store two handguns in my home. Didn't want a huge safe, just wanted something small and secure. This lock box is exactly what I was looking for. When I received it, I was surprised and thrilled with how heavy it actually was. It's a quality safe. Comes with a 4 ft. security cable, which is great if you want to secure it. I chose the combination lock version because keys are easy to lose. The combo lock was easy to set and is easy to use. The foam interior consists of of 4 separate pieces of foam, so that you can choose the amount of space you need for whatever you are storing. Very pleased with this lock safe, would highly recommend it if you are looking for something small, yet secure.

It is nice to see customer service that values it shoppers.This is a great box, I have two, one keyed and this one with the combo. This is a really well made strong box. My only concern is the hinge pin on the outside of the safe, hence 4 stars for sturdiness. Its not a deal breaker as most thieves wouldn't have the tools necessary to get the pin out. Bolt cutters maybe, but the cable would take time to cut through too and in reality I'm not going to use this a set and forget storage option. Its in my car, hidden for when I have to leave our EDC's for a few minutes and still monitor the car.

I recently purchased this and installed it in my truck. It comes with a good length of cable to attach it however you find necessary. The metal is reasonably thick and the latch does the job. I do have larger hands and the combination dials are fairly small meaning when trying to spin 1 dial I usually end up spinning the one next to it as well. I trust it for the times I need to put “something” away for a brief period of time which suits my needs.

Bought this to keep in the truck. I can easily put it under my seat. Attach the cable to the seat rail. The lock works well. Seems to fit most of my hand guns with enough room for an extra clip or two. Having two small children I feel much better having my handgun locked away with easy access than finding a good hiding spot. Mind you, If I was leaving my truck for any longer period of time I would not leave my hand gun in this case. The cable could easily be cut and the box could also easily be opened if someone had some time. However, for my use when traveling it works well.

Keep my glock locked under my seat with no worries. Combination was easy to set. Great buy.

Great durability and easy to change password. Comes with a nice thick durable security cable. Only downside in my opinion, is that there is no keyed back-up in case you forget the combo for some reason. That would be a great added feature.

Just tried the lock box. Looks like it is well built. The nob for opening sticks up and looks like it could get broken if handled roughly or something was set on it. The opening nob and lock aren’t as good quality as the lock box. It will work for me.
