What a Feeling! The ABCs for Emotions Kindle Edition

As a teacher of young children, I always get the same response when I ask my students how they are feeling, happy or sad. There are so many other emotions and children benefit so much from learning about many different emotions. This book names and describes a wide array of feelings and acknowledges physical traits that may accompany different feelings and emotions. I love how straightforward and concrete it is. Approachable entry into social and emotional learning.

My three year old loves this book! He has been asking to read it nightly since he received it. Since reading the book it has opened several discussions about feelings and why people feel the way they do. These conversations are so important so I appreciate this book laying the groundwork for such talks! Also, I love that the book normalizes different emotions and gives my son the vocabulary to be able to better express himself and communicate how he feels. Overall I’m so happy with my purchase and would recommend this book to all!

I purchased this book as a gift and had the pleasure of reading it myself. Not only is it a fun book to read, it's a wonderful tool to teach kids vocabulary to express their feelings and for caregivers to facilitate discussions with them. I found myself smiling as I read each page. The writing and examples are perfect to help kids understand emotions while the illustrations will keep them engaged and entertained. This book is such a valuable tool and I highly recommend checking it out!!

Just received my 2nd order of Stephanie Kaufman's charming book, What a Feeling!. I love this book! The graphics are engaging for children and the narrative written for all the varied emotions is beautifully expressed so that a child can understand it, but adults can also relate! There is an opportunity for a multi-level experience-learning the ABC's,discussing the emotions and becoming friends with all the darling characters. I am looking forward to other bookswritten by Stephanie Kaufman.

What a fantastic book! This is a beautifully illustrated children’s book written in simple, kid-friendly terms to help explain big emotions that kids are learning to process. I gave this to my 6 year old nephew, and his parents find the book helpful to refer back to during tantrum moments when they need help finding the right words to move forward. Highly recommend!

I found this book to be incredible helpful for both children and adults- so many of us can improve in communicating how we feel. This book lays out examples of real emotions to guide us through our feelings and how to express those feelings to your loved ones. A great exercise for you and your kids together!
