Bold - absolutely deeeeelish
Bold - we love this Volcano hold coffee, it's perfect for our lockdown coffee machine. We've tried lots of different coffees since treating ourselves to a machine but this is the best, strong, full of body taste...perfectly named bold! We only buy this coffee now so definitely recommend

Nice but not outstanding
When I first opened these coffee beans I was hit by a lovely chocolatey aroma, the beans appear a light to medium roast and were in very good condition (no broken beans at the top of the packet).I ground them to a medium texture and used this to make a pot of coffee in my trusty Melitta filter coffee machine, the resulting coffee was pale in colour with a definite smell of toffee and caramel with just a hint of fruitiness.To taste I find it a very rounded, smooth coffee with caramel to the fore bringing just a hint of sweetness. There's a tinge of bitterness but not the depth of fruitiness I've come to expect from Ethiopian beans.Taste is always very subjective but I would prefer a bolder flavour all round, saying that its a very easy coffee to drink and I would say the price is fair for the quality.I hope you find my review helpful.

A gem of a cup of coffee from this
This beans produce an excellent cup of coffee - one of the gems to remember

not fresh as you would expect from Volcano
These beans are a dark roast, taste very strong. Was expecting a medium. No roast date is present on packaging, only a best before date, indicating that they were probably roasted a while ago. Waste of money as I was expecting fresh beans, disappointing for the price.

Totally smooth! Smells Devine.Fills my house with the smell that makes you get out of bed!
Excellent service. Very prompt delivery. Best tasting coffee I have found since becoming a coffee fanatic! The smell is addictive.

A bit disappointing
Compared to other Ethiopian coffees I have had I have to say that this comes as something of a disappointment. I'm not getting any of the 'toffee flavour' claimed in the description, nor am I getting any of the what might be described as 'fruity' quality you get with that country's coffee, and what's more I find it considerably more bitter than other coffees of this origin - certainly not 'sweet' as per the label. I can't rate this very highly.
